Dolphins chose QB Josh Freeman over QB Matt Barkley

would you rather have Freeman and a draft pick or Barkley? that is the scenario.

Not sure why people act like Tannebaum is the one making these decisions.
Personally I hope not because at some point if Hickey gets fired we could be penalized by league for basically lying about his role

One has experienced some success in the NFL, the other is a benchwarmer for life.

The organization made the correct choice.

In the end it may not even matter as we likely won't carry 3 quarterbacks into the regular season - unless Moore is dealt beforehand everything is a possibility is all I am saying.

I don't understand how we had anything to do with this? Freeman was a UFA and Barkley is on the Eagles so whats Tannenbaums involvement??

Interesting. I've wanted Barkley as our number 3 quarterback for awhile. I just think he can be a solid backup quarterback in this league.

But, to be honest, Lazor had him in Philly. Lazor obviously didn't pound the table for Barkley hard enough because if he did, we would have Barkley right now. It might have been Hickey knowing Freeman over Lazor knowing Barkley. But if Lazor felt strongly enough about Barkley, he would have said so. I trust Lazor.

Now if Freeman self destructs again and Barkley ends up a viable backup, then we have egg on our faces. But I do trust Lazor.

I'd rather have just about any current NFL QB over Freeman....but i wouldn't trade a pick for Barkley.
