Doubt it, scouts have been with the dolphins for years. Scouts don't come and go..
The scouts' jobs are safe for this offseason. Even when new GMs come in, the scouting departments usually remain intact through the draft. They don't want to flush all the scouting and research they did for months down the toilet. They are safe through at least May.
So now you want the coach interfering with the draft and the gm role then?

definitely, I looked up the tenure of our scouts the other day: College Scouts, 24yrs - 15yrs - 14yrs - 8yrs - 6yrs - 6yrs - 6yrs - 2yrs / Pro Scouts, 20yrs - 17yrs - 6yrs - 5yrs
A lot of long timers on the list.

Yeah, I'd like to see the coaching staff there, if only for some workouts. I mean, Mobile isn't across the frickin' country from Miami.

This is nothing. The headless chicken-ism on this forum at any slightest thing is getting ridiculous.
We have just hired a brand new OC who comes from a variety of offensive schemes.. I would rather Philbin stay at home and help craft our offense with Lazor - identify what type of players this offense will run on - rather than go to the senior bowl practices (where all of our scouts and asst. GM are) just to prove some vague leadership mandate set by the fans.

New Dolphins LB coach Duffner said it helps coaches to see prospects in person at Senior Bowl but with technology they can evaluate at home.
At this point Hayden has no idea what he wants unless it involves Mangini.

Didn't we get some players that played in the senior bowl last year? Wasn't Joe there? Didn't those players end up sucking?
I doubt it makes much of a difference if he's there or not, his time is probably better served working with coaches in Miami, or even just taking some time off.

He was there year 1 and fell in love with Michael Egnew.
Senior Bowl is weird. It's nice to go down, but it's really only step one in the whole process.
