You forgot the word "negative". There must be a new negative Dolphins article everyday.
Yesterday the Dolphins GM candidates were being analyzed as "Ooof". Today the Buccaneers hired one of those candidates and they are being praised for making a "great hire".

Wasn't there year 1. Joe stayed away since he was hired right before Senior Bowl week and he was putting a coaching staff together. He did go last year and we ended up with F-ing Will Davis.

If he was there he definitely didn't pay attention b/c Will Davis was getting toasted. If he went and would pay attention he might not have traded up for special teams players.
To me, this is why Philbin needs to be fired. We need a coach that represents the franchise at all events like this and oozes football. The head coach should always be there, looking at players, talking to them, getting the vibe of these kids. If you don't want to put the time in....get a different job. Your team fell on its face....you don't have the luxury to sit on you @ss back in your comfy office and watch gametape. You can do that NEXT week when these kids are back home.

Geeze I can't believe the excuses these guys have!
Maybe I'm too much of a control freak, but if I'm a HC --- I want to see first hand. I want to be intimately involved in the evaluation and grading process.
It is inexcusable for us not to have an entire cadre of coaches, doing their freaking jobs and getting personal time with these players.

I would prefer my coach stay away from that unless there is a specific player he really loves. Look at what happened when Sparano coached the senior bowl and we ended up drafting a bunch of those bums.

I know we have scouts there so it's not a big deal but to rely on tape if we weren't there would be so... well not wise. Tape shows the plays, it doesn't show the player(s) reaction on sideline when let a rusher through, missed a hole, threw a INT.. it will stay on the game, it won't show how the player comes back to sideline and is either trying to correct what went wrong or is throwing a hissy fit.. that stuff factors in also.
