Dolphins cuts thread

Contracts make trades harder. but they don't take players value to zero.

I just don’t view trades where cap/money manipulation is at the forefront as an indication of that players trade value.

If Kiko is cut, he gets picked up . . . He still has value. Just because Miami didn’t eat money like they did with Tannehill doesn’t mean Kiko has any less value than Ryan did.

We basically paid Tennessee to manufacture trade value lol

If we eat $5 million of Kiko’s near $7 million he will also have trade value

Hell Reshad Jones has no trade value. If Miami eats all but $2 million dollars he magically has trade value.

You can’t ignore the contract when talking trades.
I like it. Let's do that.

I just don't think you can separate the two. Contract and player together make value. If a team need to eat money to increase value...there is still value. I get your point but I feel we will see a lot more contract splitting to facilitate some trades.

And yeah you definitely can’t ignore the money when it comes to trade value.

I don’t think Kikos worth a 4th round pick regardless but I do know that there’s some teams out there that would consider him an upgrade to its off ball lb level

I think it’s more likely a 6th rounder and we eat money in the process.

Kikos the closest thing to giving us bakers role on the team though so you know there is no other plan b. They’d have to change up some things schematically to try and offset.

Yes the depth is weak, but maybe we get good play from the starting lb’s if they stay healthy for a change.

I think it’s what it always is. Scheme is gonna have to hide/offset weakness. Regardless of its baker and eguaovoan or whomever.

But from a pure talent stand point you could say that about a lot of positions in Miami this year.

Lbs just not on the primary lists of uh ohs right now

Egos gonna have to tackle at a more consistent clip. I’m seeing chinks in tbe armor downhill

I think Miami wanted to keep Kiko but Kiko sees the writing on the wall.

He should be willing to give up that roster guarantee he got in March if he doesn’t mind being released. Or take a paycut to make him more desirable in a trade.

Difficult to trade as it stands tho.

Writing on the wall must be 3rd lb and plan b. At worst 4th lb if kwons in tbe mix.

Kiko backup baker and Kwon back up ego
