Dolphins' draft Rumor: Miami locked in on RT at 19

I'm not reaching...and I'm not claiming it as fact either.

You're reaching to try and make a point (or take a dig at another member) if you think a successful, and young organization that just came off a Superbowl win would bring in an ex-gm with an awful drafting history to come in and guide their organization on how to draft and evaluate players. Check yourself brotha.

Brotha, if an ex-gm didn't have an awful drafting history he wouldn't be an ex-gm. Check that.

The most reliable mock drafts over the past few years project that some or all of Martin, Mosley, Pryor and Dennard will be at #19.

Interesting choice to make.

dennard is not a scheme fit...press man...but neither is stanley jean baptiste and i've seen enough user mocks on here with that name as a target...it's not enough to draft good football players although that's been hard as hell for this team forever but you need to make sure the ones you do fit what you want to do

love dennard but it shouldn't be on miamis board

i tell ya one thing...deone bucannon may be the fit...he's almost as fluid as ha ha clinton dix just a tick less fluid and i think coyle would love that size and playmaking...but that's more pick 50 value or a trade down

very impressed with bucannons hips in combine drills

I had him pegged at 50 in previous mocks; Its my understanding that Bucannon is an SS.

Check myself? Lay off the kool aid and stop speculating on something you know nothing about.

Here is fact: Ireland was hired by the SEA FO to consult on the draft. The theory you laid out is based on your own bias.

by the way on the bucannon front i doubt it gets to 50...but if it did i would be very happy with that pick...

however, that kouandijo name keeps popping up and i think that guy is going to be a bust. that is the pic i would be the most unhappy with.

he will definitely be a bust and I cannot STAND the thought of this guy on the Dolphins. Overrated and you wanna talk about work ethic... character issues... believe it that ANY nick satan guy will be in that category.

I think the wanting to replace Hartline speculation is silly. We have a young QB, entering his 3rd year, and Hartline is his go to guy and security blanket, as well as going over 1,000 yards the past two years. Who, in their right mind, want's to take that away from him?

The new rumor the phins are putting out through their assistants is that they are locked in at RT for the 1st round. Sources state that the board is like this.

RT
Robinson
Matthews
Lewan
Kouandjio
Moses

The rumor states that the phins will not draft defense is the first 4 rounds, and will look at BPA of WR, RB, OG in the second and third round. The phins will draft a QB in the 4th or 5th round depending on what is available. The later parts of the draft will be LB, CB, S with a focus on special teams standouts.

They are stating that the goal of the draft is this.

Get a starting RT, OG
Get a short yardage RB
Find a solid #2 receiver
Find a backup QB
Get special teams help

This is kind of matches the bits and pieces of info we have heard all offseason.

The rumor also states that Moses is on the do not draft list due to his coaches reporting a poor attitude and work ethic.

I know a lot of fans are going to hate this draft if it plays out like this.

I really like this approach just have to wait and see.

This sounds like a rehash of Abramson's report. And it basically tells you they will take the Alabama OT. Other reports have disputed this. After reading it further I believe it is a rehash of Abramson's report.

He couldn't develop chemistry with another, better WR that doesn't tackle himself?
