Dolphins Exploring Osi Umenyiora

Do you know the difference between a 3-4 and a 4-3 and the difference between the DE positions in each? If you've been a fan of the Phins for more than 5 years, you should know first hand.
Osi is NOT a 3-4 end... and therefore would never start over Langford or Starks. The position he would play is OLB. So the people he would be competing with are Misi and Wake. Make sense?

Yeah, I'm well schooled in the differences between a 3-4 and a 4-3, thanks. I'm also well aware Osi is a 3-4 OLB, and not a 3-4 end. I misread the post I was replying to, because I'm trying to view this site on a Blackberry between getting things done at work, so I didn't read it all the way through. My apologies.

No need to apologize. But you were pretty adamant that Osi would start over Starks and Langford and "roflmao" at people who thought otherwise. If they play different positions and you know that, then you wouldn't have said that. So, maybe you didn't know that? Which is fine. Not everybody at finheaven is an expert on everything football related (despite what they think), myself included.

Roflmfao. He most certainly would. I swear, reading through this thread, a LOT of people really have no idea how good this guy is. Living in Jersey, I see Osi play all the time. He's ****ing ridiculous, and we'd be damn lucky to land him. He's the definition of the word "playmaker".

I don't think you, and a lot of other members here, know the difference between a 3-4 end and a 4-3 end. Osi is a lot better then starks and langford at a 4-3 end. But Starks and Langford is a lot better then Osi at a 3-4 end.
