Dolphins Exploring Osi Umenyiora

You all are fools. I'd trade a 2nd round pick for him in an instant.
It's not the pick I'm worried about. He's worth that easly... It's the 12 mil/yr... That's way too much IMO...

Only Dolphins fans would complain about trading for an all-pro defensive player.

**** Kyle Orton. Give me Osi. At least he's proven.

So your argument about giving up a 3rd for Orton is dumb from the standpoint that we need to save that pick to be able to manuver and get a QB next season is indeed all bs. At least seeing as youre willing to give up a 2nd for Osi. Fact is, you just love Henne and fear Orton. Plain and simple. You dont even want to draft a QB next year. You want Henne all year every year. Reality.

Its just funny to see so many who are against giving up a 3rd for Orton and using that line of reasoning, so willing to trade a 2nd for Osi. Besides I thought these guys nailed it with Misi? What happened to that? We brought in JT too. Perhaps these guys just blow at drafting.

Yeah trading a 2nd for Osi is ok but trading a 3rd for a Orton is not? I don't understand.

Oh I understand. A lot of these mother ****ers around here love Chad Henne pecker tracks all over their faces.

Hell, just fire everyone on offense. This FO seems to believe that the offense doesn't exist. They obviously confused the whole "the best defense is a good offense" with "the best offense is a good defense"

Osi may be worth a 2nd but Orton's not worth a 3rd, or certainly not a 2nd as rumored. However, relatively speaking, right now we do need a mediocre QB more than an elite pass rusher - but not enough to bend over or to mortgage our future options.

Ireland leave those top picks alone ferchrissake.

Typical of this regime.

They'd trade a 2nd round pick and give up $12 million per year for a defensive end, but wouldn't part with a 3rd round pick for a starting caliber QB.

Honestly, I wouldn't even mind this deal. They can trade all of our draft choices next year for all I care. These guys can't draft for ****.

What if they did both though? 2nd for OU and a 3rd for Orton?

Brady comes to the line and sees Wake , Dansby , Misi , Osi , JT all blitzing ... not bad.

They may morgage the future and get this guy and the Giants center plus Orton.

No 2nd or 3rd picks next year but a solid team with a chance to be very good.

Screw the money . They'll work it out.

Just talked to my friend who is a huge Giants fan, He told me Osi has had a few hip injuries and is an injury concern. Also he is a 4-3 DE, so we would be taking a big risk on a 30 yr old with injury issues who may not be able to make the transition to OLB or drop into coverage. And for those of you who think he will play DE think again, he is only 260, he would get pushed around as a 3-4 end for comparison Starks is 305, Merling is 295, Odrick is 304, Langford is 290 and Mcdaniel is 310 , and a 2nd rounder and 5yr 12 million dollar contract is a lot to invest.

Well if they're going to do it at all they might as well do it this way. No sense in trying to half a** it either way...

Go all out one way or the other.... you can't do both.

this would be the begining of the end for me. This would be the dumbest move ever. So instead of spending the money on Zach Miller and Orton or Edwards we get another DE for 10-12 mil a year. I would **** out of my eyes and start looking for another team to root for. This would be the worst move ever. He is a good player but not worth the pick and the money for us. Get offensive help the D is fine besides maybe a saftey

totally nuts! Lets spend 12 mil a year on a DL! How about getting more play makers on offense!!!!! You could have signed Braylon Edwards, Zach Miller, and Bradshaw with that money and our team would be better off!!!! Jesus when will this regime realize they need an offense to win!!!! If they do this they need to be fired on the spot!

Not a fan of this move. Miami is desperate right now. Osi was pretty much a situational pass rusher last year. He could however be a great fit to rush the passer for us but not for that money. We played alot of 43 last year tho so a transition ti olb is not a huge concern to me but the lack of value in this trade is concerning.
