To be honest this list looks generally pretty representative of things. It definitely reflects the skew of the media towards markets with larger and more active fan bases.

I'd probably say Washington and Seattle are a little, low while San Diego and Tampa Bay are a bit high. But, winning and large markets fuel the fire for media ... and we have been hurt of both for a while.

Dolphins are ranked 21 when it comes to social media following. They are ranked 31 in terms of how fans spend money on the team. Basically, Dolphins fans aren't buying crap from the team... And we shouldn't considering the product on the field for over a decade.

Look at the whale for a logo and tell me why this is happening.

If you really believe that statement you need help.........Put a team on the field that wins games, roll up the points........The fans will buy whatever is put out- no one backs a constant looser...W=$

You can't ask a fan base to remain fanatically excited after such a long history of failure like the Dolphins have had.

Somehow the Bills and Browns fans have, but I don't know how they do it. Theirs is an even more sorrowful story than the Dolphin fan...

This isnt a surprise. Fickle, faux and fairweather fans litter MIA sports teams.

For goodness sakes we have posters on this site who equate a 19 game starter for Miami with the likes og Griese and Marino.

And yet the Cowboys fans keep coming back for more.

There is fickle and fairweather and then there is fed-up.

After JJ, after Wanny, after Saban, after Camoron, after Sparano, after two years of Uncle Joe, you don't think people are tired of watching trash football? For ****'s sake, this team hasn't put 40 points on the board since 2003. We're averaging one 30+ point game per year in that span of time. Even extremely ****ty and traditionally ball control offense teams like the Browns have managed better than that over the past decade.

The problem with one-note mongos like DeathStar spouting "mediocrity" in every other thread is that they're not even right. The Dolphins haven't been mediocre, they've been bad. Our team sucks. I don't blame a single person who has given up their season tickets or refuses to buy merchandise.

And I like to think that what separates us from Redskins and Cowboys fans is not that we're bad fans or lacking in passion, but that we aren't as stupid as those people.

Do you want the James jersey in white or teal?

What you deem stupid doesn't matter. Those fan bases die hard for their teams. Which make my original post even more true.

The fan base, especially locals, are fickle at best. Be it bball, football or baseball.

Well making a generic piss poor logo won't help with equity much. Lame ass logo even Dan Marino knows it sucks.

That's news to me considering I have 2 hats, a hooded sweatshirt, and a winter coat with the "piss poor logo" on it.

I was recently at Lids, and chose a STL Cards hat over a new Phin cap. The new logo is a hit or miss proposition.
