What prevents a NFL team from just IR every player they want too keep but won't make the cut (development players)?

With Gilli on IR Williams is now a lock for the 53.

He was back at practice with a club on. Maybe later but with Jones suspension IDK

Walt Aikens can't bring in a possible Seth Lobato interception because of his clubbed left hand.

Nothing except maybe a doctors note. Definitely a flaw in the rules there.

Gillislee should thank the stars he's gonna make another years nfl salary...i don't know if that distinction means he gets his full salary or not...none of the injuries sounded like season Enders...Miamis working the system...but they aren't the only ones
 
Not having lynch is worrisome, Sims is the only real in line TE we have on the roster.

Lynch looked NFL ready too, I expect well be looking hard for an available in line TE.

Gator gets the in at TE with Lynch on IR?

Guessing Johnson now in at DT unless we pick up other cuts.
 
Really hurts to see Brackett go, from day one, when he was brought in, he stood out to me like a TE that did not know how to drop passes, but we all knew it was going to be between him and Gator Hoskins (Clay, & Simms are going nowhere).
 
Anthony Johnson might stick on this team. Good for him.

They have left themselves plenty of easy cuts on Saturday...putting those 3 guys on ir means some easy decisions...I bet there isn't 5 that they are contemplating right now...I have no doubts a tight end comes off someone else's cuts...so one that makes it is probably gonna be waived not long after
 
I thought Tyler Larsen was the "diamond in the rough"?
