I hope so. We better not have taken a return specialist with the 9th pick in the draft. I agree with you, Cam has been taking the heat for Ginn by keeping it hush hush and getting everyone fired up at the coach for taking a return man with that 9th pick. If he was praising Ginn for being an excellent WR, and Ginn starts slow out of the gates at wide out, Ginn would take bashing. This way, it's all on the coach and Ginn can be eased into a receiver role.

Not sure green had such a long arm. He does not have a cannon.

Well, the other thing you hear about Ginn is that he can't beat press coverage. How many teams play alot of press coverage? Every team will play it at some during a game, but how many teams do it a majority of the time? Just think of it another way, how many teams play a cover two defense? Tampa, Indy, Chi, Minn did and they still might, KC, and Detroit come to mind. Throw on the teams that run a zone blitz package, and you start to see where I'm going.
Also, he can be taught to beat press coverage, and he only has to burn 2-3 guys before he'll get a rep as being pure burner which in itself will cause teams to play less bump and run. Rather they'll play a safety over the top as a double or some sort of deep roll coverage. The biggest thing is if he can catch consistently, if he does that then we will have weapon. Hagan last year got open all the time but he dropped so many balls which hurt his playing time a rep with his teamates and opponents. Ginnhas to catch, and beat some one deep in the first 4 games if he does that, it will make his season that much easier.

How is a guy as fast and quick as Ginn gonna have a problem with press coverage? This makes no sense to me..By week three CBs will be 10+ yards away from the line of scrimmage respecting his speed! The only reason that some people are saying he will have a problem with it is because of his size!
I will tell you right now..he will burn press coverage so fast for quick TDs..I hope they try to press cover him..HEEHEE!!!:kick:

If that happens he will be outta here real fast. The money we are paying Chambers can be used on a future Contract for Carey if he has a solid year or Rex which will be our top Unrestricted Free Agent next year. Its gonna be real interesting to se how Rex plays this year. Players in contract years usually leave everything out there.
