Dolphins have 'expectation of mastery' for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

I think too much is put on Tua, He should be able to golf and drink as much as he can when he has time off. He shouldn’t have to put in more than what’s expected of him to be great.
It’s preposterous the Dolphins ask him that.
Mmm. Golf and drink. I like the sound of that. We need more of that on the field. I'm betting we'd become a really popular team.

In your mind everything is just hunky dory with this team. I wish I could find your optimism it’s actually pretty commendable
I guess you don’t read many of my posts. If being objective and truthful is “hunky dory” then OK. I’m guilty.

At least on paper, this is the most offensive talent Tua has had to work with. It took awhile to get in the same page with Smith, but that was likely due to Tua's injury early in the season.

Add Westbrook-Ikine to the receiving room, Gordon at running back, Daniels and Savaiinaea at guard and Tua should have a big year.

I agree with those of us saying Tua should have more freedom to audible.

Lmao

I remember Andy Reid’s first 5 seasons in KC. Missed the playoffs once and won 1 playoff game. I bet KC wished they’d had fired him.

I remember Jimmy Johnson’s first 3 seasons in Dallas. A losing record, no playoff appearances. I bet Dallas wished they’d had fired him.

I remember Sean Payton’s first 3 seasons in New Orleans. 2 losing seasons and one playoff win. I bet the Saints look back and think it was a mistake to keep him.

I remember Dan Reeves first 3 seasons. 1 losing season, one playoff appearance, no postseason wins. Broncos fans wanted him gone. So stupid to keep him.

I remember Bill Belichick’s first 5 seasons as a head coach. 4 losing seasons.. 1 playoff win. Browns fans are sick that he was fired.

But, but, but all those truths don't support the over-egotistical Negative Nancys categorically "Phony Bologna" narratives; or should I just call them "negatives". - LOL

Per McMoron: "I think that is where he is at. He has dipped his toe in the water with everything."
Dipped his toe in the water?!! Give me a break. He's your franchise QB that you gave ridiculous money to and he's only dipping his toe in the water. Damn, shouldn't you have thrown his sorry arse in the water before you paid him?!! :BNK:

I covered this in another thread, but the Dolphins had the 3rd fewest delay of game penalties in the league last year. Up from 5th least the year prior. The “too many delay of game penalties” mantra is just a made up narrative.
Did your source also count the "wasted time outs"? Also, they did seem to rush a lot of plays.

I discussed this, too. It’s hard to find stats on “wasted” time outs because it’s hard to determine what was actually wasted. Unless we ask the HC why it was called we probably can never know. We can think a timeout was called unnecessarily, but if we were to ask the HC he may very well have a good reason.

However, I posted a very good, and objective, article discussing how it seems calling timeouts at the wrong time is an NFL problem. And nothing shows the Dolphins as being some sort of huge offender of this problem.
