Insert Mr. Motivation, Ray Lewis. Would you take away from his knowledge of football, by his lack of proper english and public speaking ability he puts on at ESPN?

he was a player the other was a front office decision maker...it's not the same thing...at all

track record was sitting on marck buttfumble when he should have bailed and giving him a dumb contract in the process and it got him fired...that and the fact the guy couldn't locate an edge pass rusher worth a damn when it was the glaring other need to get that team over the hump...qb and edge rusher

i listened to tannebaum talk prospects a few times before on nfl network and i mean it was a joke the guy was a decision maker

you mean the guy lighting it up in Philly camp? the guy who helped him reach 2 title games? yeah he should have bailed on him and gotten himself a choker than loses to 2 mediocre/bad teams to keep his team from making the playoffs.

Mike's big mistake was he gambled w/ the cap so we didn't have any depth in 2012 and had Chaz Schilens starting. Unlike other teams where they continue to add talent around their QB he took away talent. had he kept giving mark talent he'd still be here and would still be winning.

*edit* I will be nice and refrain from posting what I was going to post.

Well put. Anyone who thinks that Dirty was good enough to warrent keeping around, yet alone giving a huge contract extension to, is simply showing their lack of football IQ.

by the way i hope the atl gm dimitrov is saving his duckets cause he's gonna get fired after this season for that atl defense he's put together...his head is about to be chopped...same for the hc mike smith

who the hecks gonna get to the qb for that team in the front 4??? the lbs may be worse than ours too...if not as bad

when did he get a huge contract extension?

how was he ****ty at his job? you guys would kill for the success the Jets had under him. I am thankful he's not an actual employee of the dolphins.

Finally we agree:

» In season:55-55 +2 kneel downs in 09 (including 4-12 in 07 with 2 of those wins over our even worse 07 Fins),

» no divisional championships since 06,

» 2 legit +1 charity postseason although they got into the 06/first GM year WC loss largely with Bradway's personnel;

» ignoring Bradway's urging to draft Wilson (took Hill in 2nd round)

» instead unnecessarily extending into cap hell buttfumble even after crapping the bed blowing the last 3 games in 11 to then losing teams.

» Cut Pennington to sign a diva QB and then couldn't control him from texting dick picks to female jets employees

» » If Tannenbaum wasn't responsible for the 6-10 2012 Jets, and the team losing 13 out of its last 19 games under his watch then Rex was! With that decent OL, good running game, despite a few injuries, either Tannenbaum failed in his job by not drafting and signing suitable receiver backups or it was Rex's fault for not coaching the team properly. They both don't get a free ride for either mismanaging personnel or not putting the right depth of them in place!

So this is one time I agree with you about being glad he's limited to what he can mess up with the fins: I would take the '10 jets success for sure - even though they still didn't win a division, but beyond that, the 2 year scintilla of "success" spread over the other 6 years were more attributable to Bradway's personnel and then Polian & Caldwell's decisions to pull their starters while ahead in a meaningless game, no thanks!

oh boy, here comes the excuse maker

---------- Post added at 01:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:49 PM ----------

to the folks that wish they were GMs and to the excuse makers, who was the last dolphins GM to have the success Tannenbaum had? and would you not like competing for SBs?

mentioning chaz chilens at all is a blatant excuse...why the hell do i even bother

tannebaum sucks...as long as he's a puppet on a string for us i don't care...let the guy go get coffee and donuts

AGAIN, we had some cap issues, he neglected the offensive side of the ball. we had no depth and Chaz Schilens wound up starting b/c of it among others. Mark had the worst talent in the league along w/ the tebow mess and Sparano running the O. to evaluate Mark on that year would be foolish, it's why Chip Kelly is an offensive genius and scooped Mark up the second he was free and now mark has been the best QB in eagles camp by all accounts.

If Sparano is to blame for the offense, not the guys who couldn't coach, draft or sign better than Schilins or Gates, then using that same benchmark, Morningwood (and Itzdick) is/are responsible for the '13 improvement, not Rex since they're the difference.

Ireland got fired after the fins blew the last 2 games although he drafted them 4th to 7th rounders who could actually catch like Matthews, Clay and Hartline despite Keller and Gibson going down unlike Tannenbaum.. Yet Tannenbaum didn't lose his job even before having the chance to extend the bed-crapping QB of the team that blew 3 games to then losing teams in '11. That's what I can't figure out: Ross substituted one loser for another... although thankfully not in a meaningful capacity Go figure. :idk:

Tannenbaum: no divisional titles, and 1 unassisted postseason not without outside help by opponents or use of inherited former GM's personnel.

But all that is immaterial compared to the realization that after he crapped the bed blowing 3 games in '11, Tannenbaum chose to extend Sanchez putting them into cap hell while ignoring Terry Bradway's urging to draft Wilson(took Stephen Hill instead). For that alone, he deserved to be kicked to the curb
