Dolphins keeping Jim Turner?

Even without the bullying stuff, this guy is totally worthless as a coach. He should have gotten canned just for his lack of knowledge and the resulting performance.

Two points:

1. I will be shocked if Turner is with the team at the start of next season. His replacement has been hired and his assistant has been hired. Time to move on.

2. Turner doesn't deserve to keep his job based solely upon the on-field production. We were terrible at opening holes in the run game and catastrophic in pass protection. Every metric was worse than last year and worse than before Turner arrived. Yes, we lost Jake Long, who was our best OL, but there is no excuse for our production to be that atrocious. Even if our locker room were full of choir boys, Turner deserves to be fired and does not deserve to keep his job. Given the fiasco that happened under his watch, the man needs to be shown the door. The fact that we already have his replacement in house who appears to have a very good track record only makes the decision easier.

Cam Cameron may have only won 1 game, but even his offensive lines were significantly better. The NFL is a results-oriented league, and when you are constantly beaten, you lose your job.

This guy should've been fired by the mere fact our offensive line let up 58 sacks alone.

Why is everyone so surprised. Our team never seems to do what everyone else feels and knows that should be done. The FO seems to always be wrong and incapable of seeing what everyone else sees. The fact our team has been such a mess is no coincidence. You have a messed up structure starting at the top so your team it's going to be a mess at the bottom.

Ozzy rules!!

On one hand I am scratching my head why he is still with the team, on the other hand I like seeing Philbin giving the middle finger to everyone telling him what to do and criticizing his every move.

Its February, He's on vacation. I dont think the man goes to the combine. After all, he has nothing to do with the roster.

Again..every notion I have to improve the team…they do the opposite.

He's just playing Obama

Turner may have told Philbin if I am fired then I will tell everyone the truth that you knew everything that was going on in the locker room and chose to ignore it.

I want to work for the Dolphins, I can do what ever I want and won't get fired.

It is possible the NFL and the Dolphins think Ted Wells is full of ****
I highly doubt that. Ted Wells shielded the NFL and Dolphins upper management from blame. It's like nobody actually read the report or just doesn't understand what's in it.

Lol, you SOB's who are saying Turner isn't a leader of men or will turn on Philbin if he gets fired. He was an infantry soldier in the Marines. I'm pretty much willing to bet those two rumors couldn't be further from the truth.

And his unit gave up 58 sacks. No ****ing ****. They had no talent. It's like you people just forget how bad they were as a unit. They couldn't run block on short down and distances and they couldn't pass block on long down and distances. How ****ing hard is it to understand that when the defense had the upper hand that the offensive line failed miserably? The o-line wasn't a problem in 2012 was it? It's not like he just forgot to coach. It's that the talent wasn't there.

One thing is for sure the Dolphins are pretty much giving the finger to the Wells report right now. They could have fired him and no one would have batted an eye. Philbin is sticking by his coaching staff. That does take guts. Even though after the NFL releases it's review/punishment he may still be let go

I was sure Turner would be fired 10 minutes after the report came out. By not doing it, the Dolphins are making a statement. Although He may still end up getting fired but it's clear that the people closest to the situation believe the problem was with Martin and Martin alone.
