Dolphins Players considered Richie an honorary black man

Haha .... Ritchie has more street cred in the locker room than Martin! Great stuff.

I've said it before (and got killed for it), it seems like to me, the real racists are those who yell "racist" the loudest.

Incognito's father hurt his case around here lol. he was a true dick

So those MEN are ALL scared of Incognito?

This post has tool written all over it. This argument makes that locker room a bunch of *******. A bunch yellow bellied White and Black men.

BINGO you are correct sir.....The locker room is bunch of wimps.....I don't blame Cog's for being put in a position of leadership....I don't blame Martin for being a weak minded person, you are who you are.....I blame the locker room or should I say the FO for not having strong leaders on the team....The D line has two possible team leaders in Wake and Starks...Starks was marginalized by the coaching staff......the only veteran on the OL is Cog's, everyone else is seems to be too young or not that good on the field.....

Your point is that those MEN are scared of Incognito. Black men and white men. Which I find absolutely stupid to be mild about it.

Your own bias is showing in this post. While you think those men are weak minded *******. I don't.

I guess any term can be made to be endearing. Hopefully people don't start calling eachother nazi or child rapists. Maybe then we'll see how disrespectful this is. This seems to only be ok with people who are either unfamiliar or ignore the historical context of the word.

The term has been around and preached since at least the early 90s. It was promoted mostly by black men from Compton, CA....who helped shape today's hip hop.

The term has been around long before that. It didn't come into existence nor thrive based on nwas contribution to rap music.

According to Chris Carter, Incognito is the first white guy that breaks through and gets the OK to use the N-Word.

:sidelol:

Wow, this story gets more entertaining by the minute!

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/

In fact, the players considered Martin "less black" than Incognito.

Lmao

So...

Acting like an ignorant baboon with no intelligence makes you black? I'm not surprised to hear this from a group of ignorant black football players.

I've heard this foolishness all my life. "Why you talk white?" "You sound like a white boy." etc...no, I just speak English. The better question is why do you sound like you never graduated 5th grade? As if all black people must speak slave language and "act" black otherwise. Then they wonder why we're stereotyped negatively so much. It would be nice for them to grow up and not be so ignorant. I'm not holding my breath. :rolleyes2:

This is one of the reasons why I love the satirical comic strip and comedy known as The Boondocks. They exploit ignorance like this pretty often. Black people need to do better and a lot don't care to. Oops...I'm making too much sense. That must be me acting "white" again.

All this shows is that other players may have disliked Martin as well due to his background or had less respect for him because of it....
They probably thought he was soft. A lot of the attitude seems similar to how the rumors said they saw Michael Egnew, but he turned it around by playing tough and improving. Jonathan Martin? Not so much. Then they had the stupid idea of asking Incognito to toughen him up, lol.

The leadership on this team is close non-existent.

This is why you get all this insane nonsense. And the longer it goes on, the more nonsense we'll hear.

Incognito may have a very poor public record, but his teammates are coming out in full force. He's charismatic enough, why not do a little media tour. Crack a couple jokes and he'll get more defenders.

Richie Incognito was considered a black guy. He was accepted by the black players. He was an honorary black man.

And Jonathan Martin, who is bi-racial, was not. Indeed, Martin was considered less black than Incognito.

"Richie is honarary," one player who left the Dolphins this offseason told me today. "I don't expect you to understand because you're not black. But being a black guy, being a brother is more than just about skin color. It's about how you carry yourself. How you play. Where you come from. What you've experienced. A lot of things."

Coming from a family of highly educated parents and grandparents, not growing up in the ghetto, daring to actually speak English, and not experiencing or being involved in ignorant hood behavior means that you're less black? Lol...classic ignorance.

Background...not race....

Martin came from an affluent family with highly educated parents who then chose Stanford over Harvard....that is what they may not have respected...

Martin's mother apparently has a sense of humor. When told by Jonathan that he wanted to go to Stanford to play football, she said, "At least he didn't choose Yale".
