That's the first thing I thought of when he mentioned that. Hickey definitely seems like more of a people person. Jeff came across as very arrogant and possibly crass behind closed doors.

Good numbers. Excellent player, clearly a good teammate and well liked both here and at Atlanta. Smart guy, good citizen, helps the young guys ... exactly the type of player we all want in Miami. With guys like that we can really build a great team.
To me, how Hickey does rebuilding the OL is the litmus test. But, re-signing Grimes is part 1 of a 3 step defense maintenance that needs to be done. Next, get Soliai re-signed and either Clemons or another safety with speed and coverage skills.

I'm concerned about Grimes' age, but the truth is that with what we have at CB, losing him would have been a disaster. Getting him back at what appears to be a reasonable price was a great first move for Hickey.

Solid opening move for Hickey, he didn't have to use the franchise tag and he was able to retain our most important FA. 8 million a year is about what I was expecting for Grimes, so I don't believe we overpaid.

Not seeing how this is relevant. Jeff Ireland who ****ing sucked actually brough Grimes in. So what? I will be impressed when some rookies play and perform well. Not when the GM signs a guy that was on the team 3 months ago.
