This is great news, we got athletic on the DL with Mitchell even though he is smaller than Soliai (who isnt?). Now its time to get Wheeler to the BENCH and either draft a middle LB or get a FA and start shifting around.
Brandon Spikes would be a good grab for a 2-3 year contract at $3.5-4M per.

Not to mention he's gonna go back to 3-4 NT and will be a LOAD to handle. Happy for him, happier for what we have instead - considering the money that was at stake.

This is the biggest surprise so far. I for sure thought Starks was gone, especially during the yr with all the postering by his agent. IMO I thought Solai was the better player, but I liked Starks too and am very glad to have him back. He's a no nonsense kind of guy and good to keep one of our own.
Still want to add another O-Line through free agency, but Hickey is making some very sensible moves so far.

Is all this official yet? If so then we're off to a great start. We have the D-line and Safeties set plus one corner. LB's are the weakness so we can use help there. Now we need to get at least one more guy for the oline and maybe a TE.

Any chance we run a 3-4 this year or has the coaching staff clearly indicated we will be running a 4-3? I can see:
DE: Odrick
NT: Mitchell
DE: Starks
It's good to have a 3-man rotation a DT, but I remember part of the problem last year at the beginning of the season was Starks did not want to be Odrick's back-up. Are we really going to try doing that again? Or will we start Starks/Odrick and have Mitchell rotate in?

Starks is the best DT right now so i can only imagine he comes off the field only to rest a couple of plays
