Yea, don't disagree with ya at all. That was just a bit of speculation on my part. That being said, for Thomas, I would hope it would provide a little motivation. I guess I want Thomas thinking and playing like he has to produce and prove himself. Hopefully that is his attitude, as I have heard nothing to the contrary. I agree, way to early to judge what we have with Thomas, but I think he will be fine. He flashed a bit in the Carolina game.

They let Sheets go to pick up Johnson. Nothing more or less. I don't know why people are assuming anything otherwise

It's not a negative thing, IMO. It's just like, whatever. The guy is done.

The move tells us more about how unhappy the team is with its RBs than anything else.

If it's so awful, and you know that we are short-handed in our current RB situation.....who do you feel we should get? He may have impressed during his workout, he may be a perfect fit as a situational guy in our system, and his body is rested and he probably has a chip on his shoulder. I say, "why not"? It's not like it was a make or break deal.

Would you rather go into the season with Kory Sheets? He showed absolutely nothing this training camp or preseason.
 
Think Lex Hilliard will move past him on the depth chart. That or he gets in a fight at a club and released.
 
Nobody in here has been hanging around this guy the past year. Save me the guy is too old and can't run nemore plz. Who cares what he did in past! He's a phin now so deal with it. He must have did something good when we put him through the workout. LJ was one of my fav. backs a few years ago. If he can come in and show the rookie a few things its a plus. Nice pick up.

You people are sad. Step away from the ledge, this is nothing more than a depth signing. The only reason you guys are blowing up is because you recognize the name. He will not even come close to getting more carries than DT, IF he makes the team. Hes in a mentorship role, and to spell our other backs on some SITUATIONAL plays. Definitely NOT a bad thing for DT, thats ludacris that we'd be threatening our ROOKIE 2nd round pick already, makes no sense. NOBODY knows how he looked in his workout, hes basically had 2 years off, maybe he can muster something up this season. How about you root for him because whether you like it or not, HE'S A FIN (right now). Calm down and stop looking for something to cry about.
 
Man, the guys we have been trying out would have made one heck of a fantasy backfield......7 years ago! Tiki, Larry, and Clinton? Maybe Larry can be the goaline guy I guess.
