Dolphins take Kaddu??? WHOOOO

Josh Kaddu

His problem is reaction...he fully relies on catch up speed and athleticism to make up for his mistakes on the field. The key for the Dolphins will be if they can coach it out, I like the ability to cover TE's which we greatly need in today's NFL. Will he ever get to the point of helping us in that department?! Who knows, thats why we draft. 6-3 239lbs Wish him some luck, TALENT yes...NFL READY most definitely not. Give him an off season with Miami

[h=4]OVERVIEW:[/h]Kaddu has been a steady presence for Oregon's defense as a starter the past two seasons. He is a good player in space and is able to run down ball carriers, but can get overpowered at the point of attack. He is athletic in coverage and in his pass drop, and is a fly-around player who is heavily involved each game. He has late-round talent as a special teams contributor and backup linebacker.

Don't get it. Don't like picks like this. He'll get cut after camp probably. With all those WRs there. Good draft till now.

He shows a nice burst going after the ball and doesn't shy away from laying the wood. His long arms really wrap well against the ball-carrier. He also does well to drive through and bring him down to the ground. Kaddu is at his best playing downhill and aggressively, although he sometimes bites off more than he can chew, which causes over-pursuit at times.

wow. we trade our best WR this offseason, leaving us hartline and bess as our starting WR, we wait 5 rounds to pick.......and we pick up a ST depth LB?!

WTF! Marvin Jones and Criner still on the board!!

Alfonso Denard at CB and Iloka at S also available at need positions.

Ive liked the draft so far, I question this pick though.

I like it - productive, athletic and raw - a project...

Strengths: Looks the part with a strong, long frame with good arm length. Fluid and flexible athlete with agile footwork and explosive get-off quickness. Has very good playing speed and is fast in pursuit, chasing down the action with a closing burst. Coordinated and looks natural in space. Physical at the point of attack and works hard to shed blocks. Enjoys contact and is a forceful tackler. Effective blitzer with the speed to reach the backfield and create backside pressure. High motor, aggressive nature and killer instinct. Extensive experience on special-teams coverage. Weaknesses: Has lean limbs and needs to get stronger and add bulk to his frame. Has inconsistent read/react skills with streaky awareness when asked to drop in coverage.
Is like a bull in a China shop with his aggressive style of play, causing him to play undisciplined and overpursue. Questionable instincts and reckless intensity. Doesn't flash much technique to his game. Very average production.

I actually don't see him as a coverage linebacker. I think he's more of a 2 down linebacker who has the athleticism to develop into a decent coverage linebacker.

Sounds like a future safety to me!!!
