Going by this year only, and considering overall play, I came up with 11. In no particular order, I have Wake, Grimes, Albert, and Wallace (all FA signings), RT, Landry, Jenkins, Jones, OV, James, and Miller (all drafted).

I would not say that any have played Great, other than Albert, and that no one else has been above average,if that.

Opinions?

Well relative to players on the team I'd say that's about right.

I may get piled on for this one.

Caleb Sturgis.

He won us Jets game and Buffalo game with clutch kicks and is having his best accuracy year at 84% and is yet to cost us a game with a late miss.
That coupled with the teams inability to score TD's in the red zone have made him one of the team MVP's IMO

Pretty lack-luster group of 'stars'. Not one elite guy on this team.

Ryan Tannehill is easily one of our ten best players, regardless of what some people on this forum may have you believe. Since the London trip, he's been a top ten quarterback in the NFL.

By top ten do you mean he tops out at 10 yrds?

The problem has been the lack of consistency. When some play well others disappear and vice versa. Sad to say I don't see a single pro bowler this year. Albert could have but got hurt. If Wake or Grimes make it it'd be by reputation. Grimes would deserve it more than Wake though.

Is the lack of consistency due to the lack of talent?

Problem with Sturgis is he's unreliable from 45+. He's 8-12 from 40+ (66.7%) and has a career long of 51 yards...that's not impressive. He's got more than enough leg to hit from 60 but his accuracy from that distance is awful.

Put it this way...if the game was on the line and we needed Sturgis to hit a 48-yard FG...would you feel good about it? Not even talking about a 55-yard FG.

sturgis hasnt cost you a game cause he hasnt had any opportunities to do so...it's in him...

We lack talent but consistency shouldn't be exclusive to talented players. Our most consistent player the last 5 years might be John Denney...and he's just the long snapper.
