Dolphins union rep, John Denney, rips Wells report

As a union rep, he should've read the report by now.

If he was just another guy, that's one thing. He's a shop steward, and when you speak, you are supposed to
have weight behind your words. When you admit that you haven't read the report, you admit that you aren't
fully informed before forming an opinion.

Reaction to media spin is simply feeding the beast.

A shop steward is supposed to be better than that.

For what it's worth, Denny said on Mike and Mike this morning he has read the report, he read it yesterday. They asked if after reading it did his opinion change. He said no it didn't change.

But back to my point, as someone that was around these TWO men day in day out he has far more information at hand than any investigation anyone could ever do on this subject.

The investigation IMO was a sham before it even got started.

*Whew* HE did his job finally?

I wonder what kept him from doing it in all the days preceeding?

The NFL tells me that Ted Wells' report remains "under review," and will comment further when that process is complete.

Where is someone in the media going to do their "own report" and refute things in the Wells Report? Why is Ted Wells the master of things that are wise?

Plus, whoever did a story like that would be very famous nationally. I cannot believe someone has taken this up.

I guess one has to be PC over Martin being bullied.
didn't the players union want to do their own investigation, and few have cooperated?

Well glad to see the player rep finally read the report after he issued his opinion on it! NFL players and their association must have low expectations of their reps! We recall ours for much less!

I agree with this point, it's like if you were a congressman going to vote on say....a health insurance act, OF COURSE you would want to read the whole thing before speaking on it or voting to pass it. DUH! Oh wait, never mind.

Although, to quote the Dylan line that "you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows," by all means he should have read the "report" immediately; although use of the term "report" by no means necessarily connotes accuracy, impartiality or objectivity.

When he's actually on site, seeing what he has every year since his draft, and even reporters are tweeting that those doing the 'investigating" weren't interested in hearing any defenses of Incognito, would he really be one bit surprised by the "report's" findings and conclusions?

When 52 out of 53 guys on the same team have the same opinion you do not need a report to tell you what you need to believe. This situation is just a small example of what is developing in our country where a select few like attorneys are telling the majority of the population how to think and what to believe.

Swing and a miss - I'm Canadian. ;)

Having said that, I would be the first to admit I'm not in tune with the American "sue first, ask questions later" culture, nor have I watched enough West Wing or History Channel to convince myself we're all just bit players in someone else's grand plan to rule the world. But I also think sometimes what you see is what you get - i.e. when you put a bunch of testosterone/drug-fueled idiots together, bad things will happen, and maybe one of them won't be able to handle it. That's what I see, and I think that's all we've got here.

I highly doubt that being Canadian would cause a lawyer to be so stupid as to manufacture evidence against his clients when dealing with a matter that has potential for seven-plus figure civil litigation.

I'm sure Ted Wells was just devastated that he was able to reach conclusions which pinned blame squarely on several employees who were members of a powerful trade union while simultaneously absolving of blame -- and even praising -- his client, under whose nose this behavior occurred.

I agree with Denny, for what it's worth.

It's just that he should've read the report. It's actually his duty as a union
rep on the team. He doesn't have to agree or disagree. He has to be informed on what he's
speaking about is all.
