Donald Driver a Dolphin rumor??

If you really want to help the young guys, bring him in as a WR coach to help the young guys....

is he the piece that wins us the superbowl this year? next year? how about the year after? no?then why retard the growth of our young WRs or risk exposing a promising guy to the practice squad because we used up one of our few WR spots on a old man?

Our WR's that arent rookies are done growing. We have seen everything we are going to get out of Wallace, Moore, Pruit, and whoever else. The only growth it may retard is Gates since he is going into his second year. The rookies wont get too much playing time anyways. Bringing in Driver will only help because he will bring that veteran leadership to these guys. IMO that is more important than retarding the growth of players that are done growing. The rookies and Gates can learn alot from a player like Driver.

for a few of our guys, it's put up or shut up time true enough. But I don't think you or many others are giving any respect to what bess and hartline bring to the table as far as being real pros. if our young guys can't learn to be better pros from those two, then they don't deserve to make the team. do we really need 3 guys one of them 37 years old when the season starts to coach them up?

Not to take anything away from Bess and Hartline. Yes they are veterans, but even they could also learn from Driver. Yes he is old, but put his age aside for one second, he is still a very productive player. Last year in the redzone he cought 8 passes, 6 of them (all his TD's last year) were TD's. 5 of those TD's were in the last two minutes of the game and 3 of them were when they were behind by one score. He also caught something like 14 passes on 3rd down to convert the first.. Thats still pretty damn good for a 25 year old, let alone a 37 year old.

I'm not saying he's not decent or even good for his age, but being good up there in green bay with rogers throwing to him, and the other great wrs up there drawing the other teams best CBs, probably allowed the old man to make more than a few of those tds against the other teams 3rd and 4th Cbs.

Couldnt he do the same damage as a 3rd WR to opposing 3rd or 4th cornerbacks in ur games?

Hartline, Naanee, Bess, Driver, Cunningham, Matthews/Fuller

we weren't building our team to win it all this year. don't you think if we were, we would've gotten or at least tried to get one of the top tier free agent WRs? we didn't even sniff at them. Tells me that they are going to see if any gold pans out from all the dirt we got in camp. let the coaches do thier job. don't bring in a player to do the coaches job.

I'm not a fan of naanee. given the choice i'd toss him an bring in driver.

Im not a fan of Naanee either and would have certainly taken Driver over him.
