Oh, the NHC gave an update statement at 9:30am. Got ya.

This is essentially Hurricane Andrew, the sequel. This storm is currently stronger than Andrew ever was in its lifetime. The margins are razor thin - still a high possibility the core can impact Florida.

180mph! This thing doesn't turn and the forecasters got a lot of people hurt or killed. Weather Channel dude sounds real nervous talking about the turn. My advice from someone that uses weather forecast everyday at work and has to apply them to flying a plane full of people safely. If you are on the east coast from Key Largo to Hilton Head be vigilant.

I'll believe it when I see it...winds at 180mph slowed to 7 mph 913 mb that pressure is lower than Andrew, this storm could get even stronger if the Bahamas have no effect on it.

Makes you wonder how much real usable data they have on a storm like this.

They were pretty unreliable on Irma. It did what they didn't think it was going to do most of the way to landfall. I do believe there is some truth to the theory when storms get this big, this powerful they can buck normal trends and patterns.

This is the truth. Powerful hurricanes have the ability to create their own environments. This is unlike anything we've seen, especially at this latitude in the Atlantic.

I'm actually expecting some weather now.

When and how much is the question.
