Drew Rosenhaus: McCoy will be hired as dolphins head coach

It could very well be, and might be the reason he is interviewing (perhaps) last. On the other hand, with the amount of times he mentioned "he is someone that can call plays" it is more like a last minute promo statement, at the same time giving reason not to hire Philbin.

At least give these men an outside chance to succeed...we suck now because we didn't get fisher, carmichael or some other guy you all like.well we aren't interviewing them.although they may be great coordinaters, doesn't make them great head coaches or qualities to be "head" coaches.if chud was so amazing why didn't the jags hire him? All I'm saying is give whomever it may be a chance to fail...then you can say I told ya so.

Wait who is going to run McCoys shotgun, single wing, option read offense? I know bring back Pat White! McCoy won't mess with his mechanics like meatball did, and we won't have to waste a high draft pick on a qb! We can go tackle or guard with our first pick.
comeon man.

After the 2008 season, Mike McCoy was hired to be the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Denver Broncos.[SUP][2][/SUP] In 2009, then-Broncos QB Kyle Orton enjoyed a career year under McCoy, posting career highs in virtually every passing category. The following year, the Broncos passing attack ranked seventh in the NFL, and Orton ranked fourth in the league in passing yards per game. McCoy revamped the Broncos offense in 2011 to accommodate Tim Tebow's skill-set, and the Broncos led the NFL in rushing.[SUP]http://www.finheaven.com/forums/#cite_note-2[/SUP]

ferchissake, this is a hard pill to swallow when you got Mike Zimmer and Brian Billick both available and receptive.

it doesnt matter who we sign for HC because any of the candidates will be gone in 3 years unlesss they find a QB...

comeon man.

ortons career year was because of mcdaniels not mccoy.. look at how bad orton was under mccoy after mcdaniels left

and as for them leading the league in rushing.. that will happen when you have a rushing QB and a team that completes the ball 7 times a game for about 100 yards a game

McCoy didn't even deserve an interview imo. He has done nothing to warrant a HC job.
People say Philbin didn't call his own plays, but he worked hands on with the Packers Offense since 2007.
This shouldn't even be a contest, which leads me to believe it will be McCoy who gets the job.
It says a lot when Denver fans want McCoy to leave and the Packers want Philbin to stay.
Just saying....

Yup, I would love to see Marty Schottenheimer + a young assistant HC come in here. Marty will make us a playoff contender immediately and then he can groom Ross's young Don Shula. Win-Win scenario, IMO.

It's almost like John Fox's Wannstedtian idea that the offense is only out there to grind down the clock, keep it close and win it in the 4th quarter had an impact on the Denver offensive gameplans this season.

They were both tom blunt with Wittle Stevie Weavy Ross's ego!

well i do think that the broncos got the most out of marshall when he was there...designed ways to get him the ball that henning never could match and daboll was ok at doing...so i guess i can give mccoy some credit for that...i guess

i still think that we are jumping the gun here with this hire...a season too early...but we'll see...it definitely doesn't have me thinking swift turnaround i can tell ya that
