While is role as a coordinator is important, this really is about a different set of skills needed. Motivation, administrator, leader of men. Somewhat different than the general coordinator role.

His playcalling sucked even when Orton was the QB. When Orton had a good season a couple of years ago it was because Josh McDaniels was calling the plays, not McCoy.

thats now they beat the steelers in the playoffs, he looked like john elway outthere. He only grew some balls and cut tebow loose when elway forced him to let tebow pull the trigger, im telling you this guy has the same mentality of sparano, we are screwed. Jeff ireland likes mccoy because mccoy is like sparano, he can be pushed around and told what to do, as with zimmer and philibin with probably have a bigger voice and not allow irelands to control everything.

i agree with this, what makes this guy qualified? nothing, denver has sucked *** for the last 5-7 years and we are taking one of there crappy assistants while we have joe philibin who sat under mccarthy for years under a dominant franchise and can also lure flynn/packers staff to miami and we are taking this loser from denver. Il be watching the hurricanes next season, until the dolphins get a real head coach like jimmy johnson/shula/gruden i am done watching this garbage.

Pretty judgemental there. If you are going to judge him at least do it in regard to the skills he will bring to the head coaching position, not a coordinator position. Motivation, vocal leader, administrator etc. His x and o information is important, but a whole new set of skills will be necessary to be the head coach. I find it impossible to judge that right now being he hasn't been in the role. I prefer to grade based on his performance in the role. By the way, he may hire a OC who brings a different angle to the offense. Analyze a little.

No Josh McDaniels did. He was the head coach and the one calling the plays that year, not McCoy. Get your facts straight.
