Forget the stats...

This is how I look at it. LeBron is like Payton Manning, and Wade is like Tom Brady... in terms of style. (Bron obviously hasnt broken some of the most sacred records... yet. And Wade obviously hasnt won championships... yet)

BOTH guys are absolutly amazing at what they do. However, at this point in their careers... Wade is a better closer (like Brady) than LeBron is. However, LeBron puts upmore amazing stats (like Manning) than Wade. An arguement can be made for either side...

when he carried his team through 2 series... with 2 sweeps... without Shaq...

I would take manning over brady. The pats have a great team, a great defense, great coach that why they are so good.

Ok what 2 sweep did he win and he only won 1 series in 2003 before the shaq trade. If anyone knows its section126 if the heats and Wade swept any team without shaq or even with shaq.

I dont remember exactly but Shaq was injured a lot in last years playoffs

i hate giving the homer answer but i just love the kid......id take wade slightly over lebron.....the guy reminds me so much of jordan its ridiculous.....lebron is a great player also but did anyone see how he played vs detroit???? one good game out of him and they are in the eastern finals.....wade has been beyond spectacular

he was a rookie then and he was clutch.....lebron wasnt in the playoffs his rookie yr with a similar team.....

if i had a gun to my head today id take wade.....give me the guy who will make the shot at the end....wade has proven that lebron has not

Game on the line, down by 1, 5 seconds left, my team loses I die.....Id take Wade 10 times out of 10

I would take wade over lebron for the last shot too. I think most would but If I had to build my team around either lebron or wade I would pick lebron.

Last year, the Heat swept New Jersey 4-0 in the first round and SHAQ was playing hurt.

Then in the second round the Heat swept the Wizards 4-0 with SHAQ missing Game 3 and 4 on the road.

So yeah, the heat swept two teams last year. The second one without SHAQ really..he was hobbled with his thigh injury.

Since you said this will end the arguement here you go. James is 2nd not the middle of pack. Wade is 6th. LeBron James is #2 in points per game for the 3rd and 4th quarters.

4th Quarter Scoring

Player Team Pts/g FG%
Bryant LAL 9.1 .411
James CLE 7.3 .491
Arenas WAS 7.3 .391
Iverson PHI 7.1 .432
Nowitzki DAL 6.8 .439
Wade MIA 6.7 .458
Allen SEA 6.4 .449
Carter NJN 6.3 .407
Pierce BOS 6.2 .452
Szczerbiak MIN 6.2 .555

Is this for the season? career? playoffs? what?

You missed my point about Brady/Manning... I italicized "in terms of style"... because I wasnt talking about their teams. Manning is capeable of putting up rediculous numbers and has rediculous amounts of talent (like Lebron)... And Brady, while not as talented, will be the guy that will lead your team down the field at the end of the game to win.

and about the sweep thing... last year... Shaq basiclly didnt play the first 2 rounds of the playoffs... and Wade carried the team...

You insinuate that Wade, like Brady, will lead your team down the field in the end to win it. What exactly has Wade won? Nothing. The essence of Brady's reputation is leading his team to victory in pressure packed Championship settings. That is what he is known for. Wade hasn't even come close to this. If Wade leads the Heat past the Mavs in game 7 of the Finals with a virtuoso performance, then the comparison starts to have validity. Until that time, comparing an athlete who hasn't played in a title game against one who has delivered three times under massive pressure is inapt.

Game 7 vs the Hornets in his rookie season

Scoring his teams last 17 points in the regular season to beat Detroit this year

He isnt comparing the accomplishments, just the type of player

Those numbers are from this (regular) season. The more revealing stat that I'm sure the Amars character doesnt want to post is the points scored in the last 2 minutes (including of course game winners). Those stats and the ones he pulled up are at this very nice little web site.
