Eagles interested in Morris

Do NOT trade him for a real low pick! I dont care what people say his value is. His value to our team is what matters. So if a team wants him we better get a 3rd or 4th. Hes the surest thing at rb that we have! His versatility alone can save a team a roster spot or two.

He is the surest thing we have because he is the only back that didn't get hurt last year. After week 4 this guy is 3rd or 4th on our RB depth chart behind Minor as a 3rd down back. Ricky has looked good in camp and we just draft a RB #2 overall. I would rather have a extra pick next year and give the majority or our carries this year to Ronnie and Ricky.

Trading Morris right now, when we still have no clue who our starting RB is going to be, would be a HUGE MISTAKE....

Morris, in all reality, is our best RB right now. We need him alot more than the Eagles do, and I'd be very unhappy if we traded him at this juncture when Ronnie's still unproven and Ricky could still go awol...

I'm not infavor of doing any favors for Philly, especially for a talented player like Morris....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I know we have more talented backs, but hes proven hes a solid, steady, reliable and versatile Rb. Hes not behind Minor as a 3rd down back. If we get a good offer take it, if we dont....dont. Sammy is our security blanket.

Not many, but if one of our starters go down, we'll be wishing we still had him around. That I can promise you....

On top of that, Morris is an excellent change of pace back, who can play FB as well. He's too valuable to just send packing for the sole purpose of adding a late round draft pick IMO....

he is a suprisingly valuable member of this team...

#3 back
#2 FB
special teams demon..

I think that we'd be looking at a third round pick, baring in mind the fact that the eagles will do well this year, and the pick will be low.
True, but this is the last year of his deal & he will be gone next year, because he will want to play on offense.

So get what you can get for him.

I'd say Miami might could get a 5th or a conditional 6th for him.

Morris is only signed for this year. This year is really not that important & Brown being unproven does not matter in the Morris situation.

I agree Morris is valuable, but also keep your eye on the future & if Miami can replace the 5th they spent on Wright then grab it, because Morris will be in another uniform next year & this will free up a place for a player like Harris to remain on Miami's roster when all this running back depth will be gone.

We were 4-12 last year and not going to the superbowl this year. We drafted a RB #2 overall. Our starting Pro Bowl RB from 2 years ago has returned and looks pretty decent for all the time off. We still have Travis Minor. Now we need to keep Sammy Morris as a security blanket because he had 523 yards and 4.0 avg last year. Maybe we should have kept Fielder to be 3rd string QB.

Not Gonna Happen

With all the cuts coming soon, I doubt any trade will happen unless they have a real hard-on for Morris (I doubt). My guess is Philly picks up Troy Hambrect.
