WHO CARES!

If BB has room on his roster for a rookie coming off a season ending injury, then more power to him!

We simply didnt have room, and had other plans for our LBs, we dont need a "cover LB" thats already lost a step and is only in his 2nd year, or for all intents and purposes 1st year. We have TWO COVER/BLITZING LBs that are everydown guys and are in the prime of there career. We didnt have room on the roster and definitely dont have the time to groom him this year, if that Patsies have the "luxury" spots on their roster, cool, good for them, but we do not.

The fact of the matter is Spitler spent ALL of last season with us, and learned everything he needed too, while Edds did not. Not a knock on Edds, I would've loved to put him on the PS and pull him up later because I believe with some polish he can really shine, but it didnt happen and thats the way the cookie crumbles.

"lost a step" thats the kind of thing you say about long in the tooth veterans...not 2nd year out of college pups who are coming off major knee injuries 12 months ago...most people know that when you have a major knee injury etc your not back to your preinjury full capacity for 18 to 24 months...

we cut weight too early...and kept a healthy guy who can't find the ball if his family was being held hostage...

No worries. Edds WAS badly injured though, I don't have to be a doc to know that, and he wasn't mobile as an LB before the injury, he was a good instinct player.

Fins gave him a chance post-op to see if he was worth gambling on. Like Brophy says LB is one position history tells us will struggle to recover from any ACL surgery and Edds had a complete rupture. That's not conjecture, that's fact.

How do u figure this is evidence that we have a better roster. I guess u forgot we picked up some of their trash too.

BB will do a cranium scan and extract any useful knowledge and then toss him aside.

Hate to keep disagreeing with you brother, but he was very mobile before the injury. He was already projected as being a coverage specialist for us. Picking up seam busting TE's and RB's. He's not Dansby or Burnett agile, but he was very agile for an ILB
 
I find it funny people are saying edds is badly injured
yet he was still able to get a sack and a tackle for a loss
and lead the dolphins in tackles during the preseason..
Imagine when he gets more healthy?

Mark it down edds will be a patriot for a long time..
The Homer crusaders are trying to justify this
saying spitler was the obvious keeper is ludicrous.

We didn´t score a point because we sucked not because they were good. Now lets see what we can do with our new offence...
