Emmanuel Acho going all in on Tua

Everyone in the national media told me that the Dolphins were a 8-10 win team because of their QB limitations, and that the Chargers are a legit threat to the Bills and Chiefs. 🤷‍♂️

Tua is at his best in the biggest moments, i.e. the 4th quarter in Baltimore and the big deep throw to Waddle with 9 minutes left in the 4th to set up the game winning touchdown. And he’s been that guy since Alabama.

Herbert is the QB who drives his team down the field with dazzling throws to beat the Chiefs and throws a horrid pick 6 in the redzone. That’s who he is. That’s who he was at Oregon, too.

Just quoting your post so everyone can read it again. Because you absolutely nailed it.

Been saying it for over a year, Herbert is a Phillip Rivers clone. Good QB, puts of great numbers, and shrinks in big moments.

I’ve made the same comparison to Rivers. It just seems an obvious comparison to me.

Bad take. I've heard it here many times, that most would still take Herbert over Tua. So would many GM's.
early on it was 100% to zero.

as the reality of Herbert and the healing and improvement of Tua, that number seems to be dwindling dramatically.

not long ago it was a no-brainer that Herbert was a "superstar," and tua was an "unknown quantity."

It’s crazy how Herbert takes almost no blame for the Chargers losing to far inferior teams his entire career. He is a great QB, but he is not clutch. Look at his career 4th quarter stats; particularly in games where the score is close. He’s got like a 70 QB rating this season in the 4th quarter.

Personally they are two completely different styles of QB. You can't dismiss Herbert's accomplishments, he's a good QB and a lot of teams would love to have him. Personally I think the proper comparison for Herbert is Josh Allen, they are more similar QBs than Tua and Herbert. Tua is more like a Wilson or young Brees.

With 48 yards rushing, maybe Joe Flacco.

Considering what we saw before this season, I am pleasantly surprised with Tua and how he has progressed under McDaniel. At the time, I was one who thought Herbert was demonstrating that he would end up having a better career. However, if that is NOT the case, I am happy to be wrong. So far this season, when it comes to the Dolphins, we have seen that it's not even close to a comparison when Tua is under center or not. As Tua goes, we go. We left a lot of offense on the field last week, so I am looking forward to seeing him get back into the groove against the Lions.

Tua seems to have the intangibles that Herbert lacks. Herbert has all the physical traits but doesn't have the mental traits. He is not a leader and doesn't have the it factor that guys like Allen, Mahomes, and Burrow have. He seems to have an aloof personality.
