Eric Ebron vs. Tre Mason

in theory we can get both

Yes, it is possible, but only if the O-line is heavily addressed in FA, but I'm going to say that both will be gone before each of those picks...

I have watched Tre Mason since his days and Park Vista High school were he was a solid running back.I also see him being a product of Gus Malzan's system. Im just not sure he will be as accomplished at the next level and would not risk a top pick on him

If you draft Ebron or Amaro where does Clay get his snaps?

Clay sucks as an inline blocker both Egnew and Sims are far superior as blockers but are unproven at best as receivers.

Ebron/Amaro would be an instant 3 down starter you don't take of the field regardless of field position.

Where does Clay his snaps? As a FB? Seriously? Put down the crack pipe.

I'm all for Ebron or Amaro, but what do you with Clay? Remember hes FA in 2015

One last point too much money spent on the WR to convert to a TE based passing attack.

Ebron might not be there in the first, and Tre Mason is a second rounder, If you want a back ka'Deem Carey is bigger and better

Eiffert wasn't exactly Gronk, but he had a nice year. Dalton is horrible.... and Dion Jordan didn't do anything. We could have had Eiffert, Kiko Alozo, and Taylor.

I wanted Eiffert bad last year, but what Jordan will eventually bring to his game, will completely overshadow anything Eiffert will ever do. Jordan is a very rare talent that will eventually become a nightmare for all D-coordintors.

As for this year, Miami needs to use the off-season to fix the line, and if Ebron is still there, jump on him, he is good player to have in the redzone.

Mason is a beast, but RBs there are plenty in this draft, and most will still be there rd 3-4. There is NO need to draft one high, unless you are a contender and are missing that 1 position. We have way too many holes in Oline/Dline to play with skill position players so early in the draft. Unless you have an AP kind of RB there you have to address need, unless its a reach then you take BPA. Id say go RT in rd 1 (Z. Martin/ Lewan) and Gaurd rd 2. Assuming we can lock up a LT (Albert, Collins, Monroe) and G (J.Jerry) in FA. We can address RB in rd3 and TE is not a position of need as much as RB. With an improved Oline Tannehill will have more time to find Wallace deep, and Sims is a big boy who should start getting more reps in the red zone along with Egenew.

Our base offense is a three wr set. Meaning we have our five o linemen, RT, Miller, Wallace, BH, Gib, and Clay. How do you bring in a guy like Ebron without taking snaps away from Clay and Matthews? If you go with a two tight end set and no running back you're tipping your hand.

It doesn't matter who you have where, you upgrade a position if you can, and Ebron would be an upgrade over Clay. It's not a game of "I like this guy" or "he's my favorite player" it's a game of what can we do to get better.

That is what it boils down to...we all form emotional attachments to players, but in the end it is about winning and if you can bring in a guy like Ebron and still find a way to use Clay and a slightly lesser role......how is that a bad thing? Would one want to have more players who can create mismatches?

Ebrons nice, but TE is not one of our 3 biggest needs. In the first round we should look at our 3 biggest needs and take whoever is highest overall on our board from those 3 positions. After that, pretty much BPA. OT/OG/DT/RB/S right now our are biggest needs(assuming we resign Grimes and keep Patterson). I want to sign one high end FA for the oline(B.Albert or A.Mack), one 'stopgap' guy(McKinnie or a decent guard) and then draft either a guard or tackle in the first round(Lewan or Z.Martin, I think Lewan will be a good tackle, but I think Martin could be a top-5 guard in the league).

Neither. More important positions to fill like OT, OG, DT, LB, then RB and TE later.

I fully expect that we'll bring in a veteran through free agency (Miller might be a cap casualty, Keller, Finley) and maybe not even draft a tight end at all.

Way too many mid rounders will be available to waste a 1st or 2nd on a running back (Hyde, Hill, Wilder, Freeman, Carey, Williams). Everyone knows you get the same value with that position in any round, unless you're Adrian Peterson..

We can't just go with Clay, we need a redzone target. However, I don't think Ebron will be there at 19 and Mason wont be there when we pick in the 2nd. If somehow we came out with both, I would be hyped.
