If we don't get Manning, it's because Philbin has high confidence in Flynn's ability and he will be wearing aqua. If Philbin isn't sold on Flynn, Ross will blow Manning away with an offer. Don't worry guys, one of these two will be a Dolphin.

I thought the same thing, but if Flynn was truly our choice, wouldn't we just float to the Manning camp we weren't interested and we would have been eliminated long before now. But that's not the case, so what does that say about Flynn?

If the Cardinals sign Manning, Kolb would assuredly be released or traded before being set to collect a $7 million roster bonus on March 17.
Manning’s first free-agent visit came Friday and Saturday with the Broncos in Denver. Miami is considered the other front-runner to land Manning, but there is still the possibility of other franchises making a late push.

Last thing I'll say on this is that when Peyton comes down here and Miami is then the "favorite" don't believe it. Peyton will do his homework and then decide. We have to wait to hear what he has to say, the reporters have proven how unreliable they are so there is no reason to believe even one syllable that passes between their lips. I'll bet the house that when he meets with the Dolphins we are automatically the favorites.

I hate to say it but it looks like you could be correct. IMHO Flynn is a "bust" waiting to happen, ya he knows the new Phinz offense but he has a weak arm period he's a dink and dunk passer. Why are the Phinz cursed, there's really only one stud QB for next years draft but the Phinz could go like 5-11 and we still can't get him. We need to roll the dice and draft that Texas A&M QB this year let him learn and maybe be the end of the year he'd be really to take over...who knows?

My take:

Mort is being fed information from a legitimate source (Manning's agent perhaps).
That source is using Mort to leak information that will drive up the price for Manning.

Where are these "reputable" reporters you mentioned? When was the Arizona meeting "officially" confirmed? When? After it happened? I don't recall any reporters officially confirming it till after it happened, in fact yesterday they had no idea where Manning was and where he was going just guesses.

I would agree with you except for the extraordinary circumstance of Philbin knowing more about him than anyone....so if he's willing to risk his job on Flynn, it would cause me to re-think. If Manning or Moore go south on him, Philbin can pass the buck, but not on Matt Flynn.
