Let me ask a question....

After the AZ meeting, where would he go??????

Don't you think Ireland would be waiting with two dozen roses?
 
If I was Manning, I would just screw with everyone by flying to Green Bay, Indy and then Boston...
 
Bull****!!! They only started reporting the Arizona meeting after he was already there. They were just rumors of him going to Arizona and then to Miami. So if you go by those same rumors you have nothing to worry about because we were one of the teams rumored to be visited ( like Darlington reported) They had no clue where he was going.

I think he meets with dolphins brass... I'm not sure we sign him, I hope we do. but we've failed for 10 years straight, I don't have a whole lot of reason to believe this will be any different.
 
i bet manning will be in our facility if not tomorrow evening first thing tuesday morn...and then its up to ross and ireland to keep him there and not let him leave without inking him to a contract...

i wish i had more faith in that part of it...

The local (I'm in AZ) sports radio and the news both reported that Manning would visit the Cards on Saturday. THe only thing that was up in the air was the arrival time.
 
another thing though is marino is good friends with manning...whats to say he didn't talk to marino already and marino not give the strongest of endorsements on this front office to peyton...i don't get the feeling marino loves these current guys by any means

so its possible marino could do more harm than good for our pitch if that was the case...just something to chew on

So we have to force him to meet with us by stalking him??? Like I said, he has to want to meet with us. If he doesn't then we have to move on.
 
So the only TWO teams he has met with are the favorites?? That's great reporting ESPN!
 
i just dont understand why arizona and denver are more appealing to him than miami.

all 3 teams were not very good last year, 2 of those 3 teams, the cardinals and broncos were not very good despite playing in very bad divisions.

arizona has fitzgerald who is the best wr out of the 3 teams top wideouts, but is the margin between him and marshall that substantial where it would make him lean one way or the other? i dont think so.

i think our team is better than all 3 teams, and what can be a better way for manning to play in the same divison as the team that had prevented him from reaching the superbowl so many times throughout his career?

miami also offers nice weather like arizona, but playing in miami means also no state income tax.

maybe im being bias because im a fins fan, but i just dont see why those teams appeal more than our team?

marino should have a long talk with manning and try to sway him towards choosing us.
