I'd love to see Byrd paired with Clemons. That would be a huge upgrade. Jones figures to bounce upward but he'll never be much of anything with all the weaknesses in his game.
There are a diminishing number of posters who are still trying to adjust Reshad Jones to something special, but the theme lingers. His ability level is responsible for how he fared in 2013, not anything in our scheme. It was very representative of his form at Georgia and his early years in this league.
I'll also point out that many of Reshad Jones' biggest fans on this site from last offseason are the ones championing Ryan Tannehill toward greatness today. Not everyone, and I apologize to the ones who don't fit, but it's a familiar tendency. They want to grasp any threat of uptick and project to the moon. Not many of us were willing to sit in those Jones threads less than a year ago and insist it was a big mistake, just like not many of us were willing to post after the New England game that the same crowd who were overreacting at 3-0 were overreacting again.
Relying on the middle of the road has amazing benefits.
Oh yeah, Michael Oher hasn't impressed me in several years. We can do better than that, and likewise Jones-Drew.
