Feeley = Much Improved

I think that with Brown and Possibly Ricky in the backfield, Chambers, Booker, and Boston(if he returns to pro bowl form), and a much improved O-line with the much needed help from Huock; Feeley can improve enough to be our QB for atleast another 3-5 years.

He still sucks, and Saban thinks the same. When will people realize that we traded a 2nd round pick for a pile of dog crap?? It was the same with Fiedler, although I think Fiedler had more heart. Feeley just plays so he can tap the Heather Mitts a$$!!

The only thing AJ will improve at this season is holding the clipboard and calling the plays into Gus.

He improved last year, and w/ our weapons he can only get better. Assuming he is our starter of course.

If Guss Shot Out Ferrotte Starts For Us We Will Be The Laughing Stock Of The Nfl. :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire:

We will see...I'm not sure why some people seem to think he will be great...he never has...not in college, not in Philly...that being said I think he will be better than average, which, may be all we need.

Agreed. I'm not sold on him, but he definitely showed improvement by the end of the year. Any sane person would also have to consider the circumstances he was playing under as well.

Key word in your post is "sane". I would also add logical. Unfortunately, many of the Feeley bashers possess neither.

Hold judgement on feeley guys....give the man a chance.

Supposedly, we're rebuilding

"It may have nothing to do with AJ improving, if Gus outplays him he'll be holding the clipboard. He definately should be better, cause last year he was pathetic, it comes down to how quickly he can learn Linehan's offense. Regardless if A. J. does not have a good year I don't think he'll be in a Dolphins uniform for '06."
Which is why he will start. Saban has a "grace" period where he can afford to lose games. Basicly if he has a bad season this year, that's not so bad. It's a bad season next year and starting another bad season in '07 that will kill Saban. He's going to find out if Feeley can do it. We have too much invested in him not to try.

I think that is a little harsh. What sucked was our offensive system. Our guys were reactive instead of proactive. Wanny had them sit there and take in on the chin, play after play, instead of developing a system that wasn't so predictable. It was truly pathetic. This year, we should be less predictable, and the defense will have to work to really stop us. I think there is a lot to look forward to this year, I am going to wait and see what happens first before I start writing folks off.

100% AGREED :cooldude:

I honestly don't think Farve in his prime would have survived behind this offensive line. Can anyone honestly think of an OL that was worse then Miami's last year in the past 15 years? I'm having trouble coming up with one. Heck the closest I can think of is that porous Giants line of a couple years ago but even they were better.

It has nothing to do with weapons in terms of receivers or RB'ls it all starts in the trenches, if the QB and skilled players can trust their OL to give them time, holes, and pick up blitzes, everyone will look better. AJ is a heck of a QB, I'm not sure why ppl can't see that, with time, I'm sure we will see the real AJ, and I think the real AJ will be fun to watch. Will he make mistakes from time to time, of course, haven't seen a QB who didn't.

Sure our Oline wasn't good last year. But I have two questions: Why is it that the same people that say AJ Feeley is good QB are the same people that say our OLine improved last year, yet still use our offensive line play as one of the excuses for his poor play. Talk about contradiction.
Second question: What exactly has Feeley done to show that he is "a heck of a QB"? This argument has been beat to death so I'm not going to keep beating. But I haven't seen anything about Feeley that stands out to me and suggests that he will be able to lead this team to the playoffs, THROUGH the playoffs or to a Super Bowl victory. AJ probably won't even beat out Gus Frerotte for the starting job.

The OL improved throughout the year, and so did Feeley, or didn't you notice? he cut down on his mistakes A LOT, made much better decisions. Did you see the Pats game? no interceptions, he engineered some good drives against one of the league's best defenses, and threw the game winning TD pass. See the game after that against Cleveland? Heck of a TD pass he threw to DT, and made very few mistakes that game, too. As the season went on, the OL improved, the game slowed down for AJ, and he became a pretty good QB. I think a lot of people watched him play his first game and have panned him ever since

Saban has nothing invested in Feeley and he is not going to have a losing season just to see if Feeley is the guy. Half a bad game and AJ will be slinging a clipboard. Saban is thinking SB from the start, not "oh i have a one year grace period, common only losers have that attitude.
