Feeley Should Start

Just about as serious as each QB camp arguing about how much better their QB is than the other one. Fact is they both suck!
So you start the one that sucks but has a chance to get better through playing time, not the one that has sucked for 12 years.

The Dolphins would be better served to lose 11 games with Feeley at QB than to lose 11 games with gus at QB.

gus looks as bad, if not worse, than any QB that has come through here in the last 5 years. We're not going to the play-offs with gus as our QB. There are no if's, ands, or buts about it. If gus survives the whole season as a starter without getting injured, we'll be drafting in the top 10 and we won't know jack-**** about Feeley.

Let Feeley be the starter, learn the system by playing in it, and if he survives the whole year without getting injured we're either going to be exactly where we'd be with gus, except that we'll KNOW what Feeley is as a QB,

......or we're going to watch Feeley get better and better throughout the season.

With Feeley as the starter it's a win win even if we lose lose.

Start gus and it's a lose lose and more lose.

Great post and I totally agree. Gus shows nothing but "so called" expirence. As I watched Feeley play last year, I saw him put heart into the game. And in my mind, thats how a true QB should be.

May get better with playing time... Personally, I could give a rat's azz who starts, but the current stock is getting a little ripe for my tastes.

If you don't give a rats a$$ who should start then why are you arguing about it?

saban made a mistake of bringing gus in.

we all know that the fins will be an under .500 team.

starting gus would do nothing for our long term QB needs. he stinks.

What if Saban brought Gus in to be a veteran mentor to AJ? He knew that Gus is comfortable with the scheme and could help AJ learn it. Do you know that was not the intent? I bet Saban is more disappointed than anyone that AJ hasn't been able to clearly establish himself as the starter.

This is not trash talk, an honest question to you. Would you rather go 8-8 with Gus, or say 5-11 with AJ? And still end up drafting a QB either way?

I do think we are going nowhere with either, now or in the future, we will draft one next year in my eyes.

I asked myself the same question when I was reading Infinsible's post. My answer was easy.

If is was Feeley who won eight games I want him

If is was Ferrotte I want him.

Not arguing, per say... just tired of each QB camp arguing about how much better their QB is than the other one.

No one in this thread is arguing about which QB is better, the point of this thread is which QB's playing time is better for the Dolphins' long term interests.

Do you happen to have an opinion on that?

Huh? Better read through some of the posts again.... You might not be, but I recall some posters who are.

I get what you're saying about the Phins long term interests, but I am not convinced that either one of them are worth the gamble. If I had to choose the starter for the next game I'd let Sage start and maybe send a message to both of them.

Worth a gamble? what do you mean?

Is there any other way of finding out just short of callin MrsCleo?

IF AJ had led our team to a touchdown last night (and not the Fluke of luck that Gus had) then we wouldn't even be having this conversation. AJ has shown us that he can adapt his game, he took less risks last night, but in the West coast O, it is the recievers job to get YAC, and none of our boys did it last night. If aj completes 16 of 20 with the starting O, there is going to be a touchdown or 2 in there...

My point being that both are a risk to depend on for the season, if someone is pushing for one to start over the other because of long term potential to the team, then why not start Sage (for lack of a better available choice) for the next game. If he does well, then that might wake Gus/AJ up from their preseason slumber. As it stands now, neither one has proved anything to me (except that they both suck).
