Here we go Buffalo, here we go!
I'm going to respond to everyone in one thread
I'm not saying he was a bust just because he couldn't beat out Harrington. Just that it doesn't impress me that he couldn't beat him out. Even if it was due to injury. Aside, to be a bonafide "bust" you have to come highly acclaimed in the first place, which Feeley really isn't. Maybe I'm wrong but I have a feeling your QB of the future is not on your roster right now.popularwar said:Dude, how long ago was that? You're saying he's a bust because he didn't beat out an eventual first-rounder like seven years ago? He actually lost the job after an elbow injury, if I'm not mistaken.
What I meant was Tedford's system allows QB's to play extremely well. It basically makes the QB use a pre-snap read to cancel out some of his recieving options. So instead of having four or five options to check down a QB only has two or three. If Feeley has the makings of a good to great QB, why didn't he show it in a user-friendly, pass happy offense?popularwar said:Doesn't that go both ways? Harrington's stats would be increased also if they were both in the same system.
So though it's sort of round and about, Feeley in head to head competition with Harrington still lost out when healthy, right? That's the point I'm getting at.MrClean said:Feeley did beat out Harrington. When Feeley was a junior and Harrington a sophomore, Feeley began the season as the starter and played very well until he was injured. In fact, he was a mid season nominee for the Davey O'Brien Award. When the injury to his elbow forced him to the sidelines, Harrington took over. The next spring, Feeley was not able to practice and compete at that point to win the job back, so Harrington became the starter almost by default. When AJ came back healthy in the fall, Harrington still retained the starting role. Harrington did play well his junior season and AJ hardly got on the field.
see above...PassRush said:Thanks, its nice to see a Bills fan actualy talk football on this board. Although Feeley did beat out Harrington at Oregon; when Feeley got hurt Harrington took over and Feeley never really got a second chance
