Prior to that his career was less then average.
Garcia are you kidding me? He is more of a noodle arm then Fiedler. He showed that last year without Owens.
Frerotte? I guess if you count one good season and a 2 game span a great backup then go ahead.
Feeley? He actually was very good as a backup.
Volek and Rattay I could see the argument for.
For me right now, Holcombe, Fiedler and Volek would be the best backups IMO.
I would take Fiedler over any of them. No matter how much you knocked the guy or how bad he played he always put us in position to win. He failed sometimes, and he succeeded sometimes, but very seldom were we ever blown out or didn't have a chance to win it.
