FINAL SCORE: Dolphins V Ravens (week 2)

Completely wrong statement there.

It was reported several times by different people that Josh Boyer was the one calling the plays in second half.

Also Jerome Baker said that Flores wasn’t nearly as involved in defensive team meetings, he would pop in from time to time.

Also, in your other post you seem to state we played way too passive and somehow it was Boyer’s fault….

Our defense allowed 270 yards TOTAL, had 3 turnovers, a defensive touchdown and allowed 7 points.

Every credible podcaster or beat writer praised our defense and J Boyer in particular for his game plan.

You do realize you can’t just zero blitz on every down right? This isn’t Madden. I understand not being happy if we played very passively and got shredded… but defense was actually extremely effective and NE essentially only had 1 good drive that ended up being a turnover anyway.
Ya and if they play that same defense against a team like the Bills and Bengals they will get torched. They need to play more aggressive against the better QB's or they will get shredded.

Dolphins 27
Ravens 17

It'll be tough to beat Balt at home, but if we can contain and put pressure on Jackson and keep him in the pocket, then we can force turnovers. Balt doesn't have a clue on what McDaniel is going to throw at their D. That's a huge plus for Mia. Still see us at 2-2 tho, after these tough first four games.

Dolphins DC Josh Boyer says last year vs. Ravens, there were times they could see cover-zero was coming "but it came down to execution." (Ravens say they're better prepared for cover-zero this time.)
Boyer, on scouting Kader Kohou as undrafted free agent: "I believe that was right before an OTA session, if I'm not mistaken. I said, 'I like this kid and I need to talk to him.' We had a Zoom conversation. It was very clear to me how he could fit in this defense."
Boyer: "When you talk to players you have to have a vision of what you see them doing, and their desires have to match." (Kohou credits Boyer with persuading him to come here.)
Dolphins DC Josh Boyer says he's been here late every day this week, that's what Baltimore does to you with all they offer as an offense. They have every run known to man, he says.

That’s the whole point of game planning against your opponent. You don’t call the same defensive plays against Jackson as you would against Herbert or Mahomes.

Josh Boyer had a perfect defensive plan against NE. To say that it wouldn’t work against the Bills is like - well no ****. But they didn’t play the Bills!

Thursday was a completely different Monstwr than years ago California.

I was at the game it was 102 with 70% humidity. The “Dry Heat” I was used to in all my trips to California wasn’t there last week with their historic heat wave just saying is all.

Also Bills actually are built in a way to handle the heat with the way they rotate their players. They won’t have heat issues next week.

Now a south Florida rain storm or tropical event type thing could affect the bills offense a lot.
Yeah, they were reporting 102 a little while before the game, but I guarantee you it was at least 3 degrees cooler by the time the game started, and by the 2nd quarter, it was downright pleasant.

In CA this time of year, especially on the coast, it hits peak temp around 4:30, and then it starts to cool off quickly. It definitely was higher than normal humidity last week.

NE is not at all better than the Ravens this year. The apathies are rudderless at Offense. They have a D coach and a failed former NYG coach running their Offense. They have no RB, no real WR and their OLine is pathetic .Ravens don’t have that problem and their QB is spotty but when he’s on, he is hard to beat. We will have to play considerably better this week to beat these guys then be lights out in week 3.
Both of the guys running their O have a resume that consists of being good defensive coaches under Belicheat and being failures as HC.

Seriously, has anyone in the Belicheat coaching tree ever gone on to be successful?

Well wasn't Josh Boyer the DC the last couple of years when they have played the Bills and have gotten absolutely shredded by Josh Allen? That's what I thought!

This should be a hard game for anyone that’s being objective to try and predict.

I honestly have no idea if we’re going to win this one.

I’m terrified of the Ravens running game. If we had more physical thumpers at the LB position I’ve feel better. Roberts is kinda the only guy and he’s severely limited if the play is t coming striaght at him.

Baker is a glorified SS in the box.

Ravens can be a very physical team upfront and run with command.

NE to some degree kinda showed were vunerable to the run

Force Miami out of those dime/nickel packages.

Argh..I HATE picking against my team. I hope they prove they have enough to pull this off.

But

Baltimore 27-14

Coin flip game to me. With the Ravens at home I give them the edge.

A lucky break or two though and its 2-0 baby.

Idk...but I see a Dolphin loss here and with Tua being the topic of conversation on how bad he is and unelite

History repeats itself - see week 1 of NFL season 2022 and the Dolphins vs. Patriots game - LOL

The real problem we are seeing with these anti Tua postings is simple to explain when you watch young children argue about stuff.

Once a kid is proven wrong, they get louder and continue to insist they were right - to the point that they "manufacture proofs" that are even more wrong than their initial position was. The louder and more insistent they are about being wrong, the more the other kids make fun of them.

Eventually they move on trying to find someone who will believe their crap. They hope that trying to specify an "exception as the rule" will make them look smart and get the other kids respect them, never knowing that they have left an indelible mark about their character in the minds of those other kids and that eventually even a lot of truly being right will be buried by memories of their behavior when they were wrong.

Of course, as adults, we have grown beyond such "pettiness", we just use the ignore button - LOL
