Fins or Chiefs End of Season

OP is missing the point. They got into the playoffs and had a chance to go deep in them. That's all you can really ask for.

I respect your opinion and appreciate the comments. However, I want to be absolutely clear when I say that I am not missing the point. I understand that making the playoffs and having a chance to win a super bowl is the goal. I stated this in my original post when I started the thread.

Regardless, this team was NOT going to have the Cinderella season that the Ravens or Giants had in years prior. This team was a wreck and we saw clear signs of that in the regular season. I don't think I have to give examples since we are all too familiar with our dysfunction as a team.

What I am asking is, would you take the Chiefs path to the end of the season or are you contempt with the way ours ended? Think about it, if we go 11-5 and make the playoffs, and lose in an unbearable fashion as we did against the Jags or like the Chiefs did last night.... what exactly have we accomplished? How much have we really improved??

If we have the season the Chiefs had there is no talk about a GM/Head Coach shake-up.

.There is only deception that we are headed in the right direction. We had that when Pennington, Sporano, Henning, Ireland, and Parcells arrived... Look how much that playoff appearance helped this franchise....

deception.

How would you have rather ended the season? The way we did or the way the Chiefs did?

The Chiefs had a great season, made the playoffs, and have tremendous upside for next season. However, at the end of the day, they are looking towards the off-season just like we are, but now select later in the draft.

The way we ended the season, it is no doubt, we would have been defeated in the 1st round, if we had made the playoffs… It's clear we don't deserve to be in the playoffs even if we snuck in somehow. Can you imagine how Chief fans feel right now? I'm feeling for their fan base the way their season ended.

The ultimate goal is to improve each season, make the playoffs, to have a chance to win a super bowl but to go out like that…. I rather not. It's probably the way we felt after getting blown out by the Jags in Jimmys last season. If we had Andy Reid as a coach, had their exact season, this board would be in a drunken rage about the outcome. I could imagine many reminding us that Reid cannot win the big game. This is the nature of sports, especially the NFL.

I don't feel as bad anymore because I know there are fans out there feeling a lot worse then we are right now… I have read countless posts and threads about fans giving up and not having the ability to root for a franchise that keeps letting them down year after year. We are not the only team that experiences misery. We have a storied franchise, that includes two super bowls, Don Shula, Dan Marino, and the only undefeated season in NFL history. I'll take the Miami Dolphins 10/10 times, every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Here's to a brighter future as Dolphin fans!

Be realistic. KC went into Indy and lost the leagues best RB, his backup, and their #2 WR and had a close game. It was just dumb luck (no pun intended) that they lost the game. If Charles would of played they would of won.

You're saying they score more than 44 points with Charles in the game? They played fine without him.

In essence we did lose our playoff game. One win and we continued, one loss and we watch. We failed to show up so I don't see much difference. Both teams lost games they should have won.

I would say they would control the ball and clock better. Football 101. They wouldn't of had to score more than 44. Besides Charles on that last drive would have been money.

re you asking playoffs or no playoffs? That's a silly question. Of course the chiefs season.

Give me a chanve in the playoffs than losing 2 straight to trash ass teams

As the game was going on, I was praising the creative play-calling of the Chiefs. Reid and Co. were putting on an offensive clinic, but considering who got injured in that game, they just ran out of guys. If Charles and even the back-up stayed in, Chiefs run more clock and win that game. Also, the loss of a Pro Bowl CB was crushing, too.
KC hit a 'Perfect Storm' to lose that game. I love me some Andy Reid right now.
I hate Ross, Ireland, Failbin, Schmuckman, Foil, all of them.
Dolphins fandom is sports he'll right now.
