Florio: Dolphins have no shot at Manning

Texans gonna dump a good QB for a year or two of an injured Manning that may or may not be better than Shuab? lolfloriolol

Cant take that serious. Texans no chance, KC will be our biggest competition. People need to remember just who won the weakest division in football last year. Manning > Tebow any day of the week and double that on Sundays.

You do know that Florio made his reputation by being a shock jock, right? Writing and saying these outlandish things keeps people engaged with his website and brand, and ultimately fills his pockets. You all are falling for it hook, line and...

This team on paper reminds me of another NFL team from awhile back, the 1998/99 St. Louis Rams. Look what happened when they found an all pro QB.

i would say 95% of the reports say his rehab is progressing just fine and he has plenty of time to get to 100%
as for taking a hit, in this league wit all the new laws, the qbs might as well be playing flag football. so hes no more at risk than any other qb.

He's had multiple neck surgeries, we aren't talking about a knee or an ankle here. The questions will not be answered until he starts taking hits in September.

The same Chiefs team that we blew out on their home field? Florio is an idiot.

Remember, they play in a MUCH easier division and they have some pieces. Miami has more talent but they also have better teams to contend w/ in the division. There's not a bad team in the AFC East, I'm not sure if there is a good team in the AFC West.

I think Miami has peices but they don't have close to the talent the Rams had back then.

we need a florio badge. it should somehow depict florio with a huge foot way up his *******.

Florio was on WQAM and said that the only reason Manning is working out in Florida is to keep the Dolphins at the table to drive up the price. Says Miami will get used and they have no chance to sign him.

Well at least he's the first person to claim to know without a doubt what Manning will do. "Lets go to Miami for the soul purpose of ****ing the Dolphins over and nothing else".

I guess that settles it, Florio the great has spoken! (sarcasm). Well hopefully this will help cut down on the volume of Manning threads on FH :chuckle:

The Chiefs have D and a HB pair Bowe with Wayne and yes I get it. Phins and Chiefs are on the same level so if we here think Manning to Phins = SB. Then for the Chiefs why the hell not? Even Caldwell made it to the SB just staring blankly while Manning did work, of course Crennel can follow that formula. If we want Manning over KC we need to guarantee more money. At that point I'd rather see us make the RG3 push if we end up bidding for 18.

Bowe is a free agent isn't he? No guarantee he stays. The AFC West isn't as good as the AFC East so there's that. But to say the Chiefs have a shot at the SB with Manning. I dunno, it just doesn't seem right.

not to mention KC isnt exactly the warm climate peyton is "reported" to be seeking.

This could be the case but until he is released and signs somewhere else then Miami still has hope however small that may be.

So you bring in Matt Flynn at midnight march 13th and tell Manning good luck! You using us? Well, lets see about that.

Yeah, whatever...media trying to dictate who gets who cus they dont like Miami.

I disagree.

Presuming you add a healthy Manning it is nearly the same. The only stretch is the Bush to Faulk comparison because obviously Faulk had a much better career at this point in his life than Bush has but Bush showed he has it in him to be a Faulk like player he just has to build on last season.

The receiving core really isn't as different as one would think, Miami is lacking that true established speedster but the number one and two receivers are nearly the same if you have an all pro throwing to them.

I used the 98 - 99 Rams as a perfect example because with the addition of a few key pieces the roster went from average to great in one season. Miami has as much talent on the roster as the 98 Rams did and they have the potential to have as much talent as the 99 Rams this season.
