Florio: Dolphins have no shot at Manning

He said Texans, or get this, the Chiefs.

The chiefs have a boatload of cash to spend. Its really not that bad a situation to go to. In fact, you could make a point about KC being miles away from Indy.

but hey, let the actions speak. not this sell sell sell crap days before.

I disagree.

Presuming you add a healthy Manning it is nearly the same. The only stretch is the Bush to Faulk comparison because obviously Faulk had a much better career at this point in his life than Bush has but Bush showed he has it in him to be a Faulk like player he just has to build on last season.

The receiving core really isn't as different as one would think, Miami is lacking that true established speedster but the number one and two receivers are nearly the same if you have an all pro throwing to them.

I used the 98 - 99 Rams as a perfect example because with the addition of a few key pieces the roster went from average to great in one season. Miami has as much talent on the roster as the 98 Rams did and they have the potential to have as much talent as the 99 Rams this season.

After one year without an offseason with a hot seat coaching staff and people gave up on Mr. Gates. Beware this thinking. Philbin will make him his personal project.

Only in Fla to drive up the price? That is just stupid and cuts his credibility, if he has any. Manning has a condo in Miami as we all know. Though Florio probably thinks he bought it just to drive the price up.

Mike Florio is so stupid...I am not sure I can listen to him anymore. Saying the Texans would go after Manning is one of his dumbest statements since he said the Saints would drop Drew Brees and sign Manning so Peyton could finish his career where Archie played.

Florio is out over his skies in his elevated role at NBC.

There's not a bad team in the AFC East, I'm not sure if there is a good team in the AFC West.

Yet it's the Dolphins and Bills who will be contending for last place in the division for a while right? No chance of ever finishing above NE or the team I won't mention

You didn't know Manning bought the condo in Florida specifically to con the Dolphins out of more money?

You think Bush to Faulk is the only stretch and Bush can be a Faulk like player? Come on. Bush isn't half the player Faulk was especially at that time which was Faulk's peak. As good as Brandon Marshall is he isn't as good as either Isaac Bruce or Torry Holt, you do have a great LT like they had though so there is one similarity. Where's the Az Hakim deep threat? where's the steady vert Ricky Proehl type? There's no comparison other than if you get Manning you'd have a future HOF QB and so did that team but Warner waas entering his peak while Manning is past his.

He's had multiple neck surgeries, we aren't talking about a knee or an ankle here. The questions will not be answered until he starts taking hits in September.

Remember, they play in a MUCH easier division and they have some pieces. Miami has more talent but they also have better teams to contend w/ in the division. There's not a bad team in the AFC East, I'm not sure if there is a good team in the AFC West.

I think Miami has peices but they don't have close to the talent the Rams had back then.

imo miami has a RB and WR BOTH THAT WENT OVER 1,000 yards a pro bowl LT pro bowl C a defence thats coming into form.

That's nice but it wqas Bush's first 1,000 yd season and he had 1.086 yds that mostly came after the season was lost in meaningless games. Az Hakim had 8 rec TDs which was 2 more than Marshall, Marshall is a nice possession guy but he's not a playmaker like Holt or Bruce. You guys have talent, let's not go overboard and compare it to one of the best offenses in league history.
