FOX Sports calls the Dolphins the biggest losers of the free agency period so far.

Ok for the sensitive guys, were top 5 in offseason losers. Make you fell better?

Not saying the Dolphins have had a stellar offseason but I think they've have had the best offseason in the AFC East. So the Patriots get two head-cases and of course Belicheck is treated like a genius. It's amazing that it's breaking news now when Haynesworth passes a physical. If the Dolphins had signed Haynesworth the FO would've been critcized for signing a 4-3 DT to play in a 3-4 scheme. Plus the Patriots had to cut a lot of decent players (Warren, Banta-Cain, Stroud, Kazcur). All the Jets have done is sign Burress and resigned Holmes. Have they signed any one else of interest? And the Bills signed Brad Smith. So now they have 4 returners to go along with Parrish, Spiller & McKelvin. Oh, and they signed Thigpen. Big deal.

im not a fan

we spend all this money and all these assets on an o line, and then not only trade for a rb that cant run between the tackles, but promise him the lead back position. He does not fit what we were building for in the least. We did not spend all this money on an o line for a rb to try to dance around it.

Burnett is solid, but a minimal improvement over Crowder imo.

Everything else is just fodder. And annoying fodder where we will sign all of these Cowboy castoffs, and cut good talent in the process to make room for them

seriously the burnett addition was a solid under the radar one...the bush trade because they don't give us any info on anything pretty much there's more security in our front office than the damn white house it seems we STILL don't know what the trade compensation was...it may work out in our favor but if these guys really plan on making reggie bush a feature back and giving him 20 touches per game he won't make it health wise...his career suggest as much...its just not a smart way to use him...jason taylor what a waste of time...period...colombo hot garbage...trusnick a backup olb and specials guy...matt moore might make a solid backup on a good football team but he's a bad starter on a bad football team

i'm not very impressed...to say the least

we're in for a long season guys...it is what it is...failure

I have to agree with this article. Someone mentioned the Bucs, but they already have theyre QB, and some great peices around him (WR Benn, M.Williams, TE Winslow, RB Blount) and a decent online. They need work on D but they had a pretty good draft on D. The Lions and Cards also have been adding a lot of pieces on theyre areas of weakness especially the Cards who GOT A QB in Kolb. The Redskins might be the only team worst of then we are, because even the Panthers got their QB. Granted no one knows if any of the new QBs will be any good, but at least theyre headed in the right direction....unlike us!! WE have the D to compare to any of the greats, and nothing to show for it on Off...maybe we can sign Trent Dilfer to pull off 1 more miracle season and win us a ring?

I would agree. You would think for a team that threw their head coach off a cliff, more would've been done to salvage people's jobs. We have a team that publicly said the starting QB is not good enough, and here he is again behind center. We had problems at OL, so what do we do? Sign a reject that had one of the worst seasons a tackle could have. We had problems at WR, with no big playmakers besides Beast, and what do we do? Let all of these talented receivers pass by. Is Hartline going to all of a sudden make D's respect him? Absolutely not.

Then you have TE. What do we do? Not a damn thing. Where is the scoring going to come from? A 3rd down back who stays on the field less than the guy who was starting? C'mon...

I wonder where Sparano will be coaching in 2012

2 things:

1. The offseason is not over yet. It has only been a week, and there are still plenty of players left in the pool that could really help the team, and based on how much money the team has left, I think we're in for one or two more good signings

2. Outside opinions mean nothing to me. People write their opinions about a team when they've hardly seen them play. I remember collectively laughing my *** off with the rest of this forum when ESPN/NFLN wondered how we were going to replace Joey Porter, when we had Cam Wake. We as a fan base know more than any so called "expert", and in my humble opinion, our offense will be better.

Chad Henne doesn't inspire super bowl dreams but Kyle Orton does? Please. Orton's never been to the playoffs either.

Jeff and Tony didn't improve the one position that needed to be improved. Our success in FA depends on that decision. There is a chance Henne has a good to great year and the look like Rhodes scholars. There is a greater chance that he is average or below and they all lose their jobs. With that on the line that makes FA average at best.

As far as offseason, we had the worst in the league hands down. The failed attempt to replace the FO, drafting a C in the 1st round and taking 0 qbs, and still not addressing the position in FA. Add in Tony getting an extension and it looks awful.

I'd say Tampa has had a worse offseason...but ours has been dreadful.

You guys are crazy. Our offseason so far hasn't been like Philly's (whose has?) but to say dreadful ... that's crazy. We are significantly better because of our moves. The QB position is what sheds a negative cloud but come on, we have gotten better on both sides of the ball.

its time to stop thinking about these guys ever doing anything to upgrade the position at te...they just don't value a pass receiving weapon there thats all i can think of for why they ignore it...but teams are gonna line up in cover 2 til the cows come home cause we have no one to threaten down the seam at the position...safeties don't even have to stay at home cause we got nothing

ehhh....i'm sick of this crap

You would've thought Kyle Orton was in the same caliber as Manning/Brady, etc the way people are talking about this. Good lord, Orton would've been a temporary fix anyway. Give Henne a shot under someone who isn't retarded, if he does nothing this year we can move on. If I remember correctly our bipolar reciever didn't have great things to say about Orton when leaving..I could be wrong.

A lot of people on this forum seem to be amalgamating our free agents with the ONLY players we have our team. It's unfortunate because they seem to forget the stellar depth we have at DT, the star pass-rusher, the young kick-*** tandem at corner, the very effective receiving corps and the reinforced line. So there's hope.
