Agreed. I mean obviously I am all about the O line, but if it's not O line, let's get a quality player regardless of position.
If it's safety, get the best in Starks
If it's LBER, get the best in Jihad
If it's IDL, I'm ok with Graham( yes I know he will be gone) Harmon/Nolen or Grant
If Terteoia falls, why not.
What I would hate to see if at 13, Emmanwari, Johnson, Zabel etc.
Get the best rated player and don't get cute. We can't afford another Carey or Iggy.
If Starks is the next Ed Reed, no one's going to care that we drafted him 13.
I am a big Georgia fan and like Starks but I just don't see the impact plays worthy of taking him at 13. I don't think he's Ed Reed, I think he's more like Brock Marion who was damn good in his day but I think we could get a starting caliber safety later in this draft
Will Johnson has the size and ability to be at least a #2 corner. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
Same with Tyler Warren or any of the three top OL. If we had to take Zabel at 13 I wouldn't love it but think in time he's going to be a long time starter and a quality one.
Hate Mike Tannenbum's choice for us of Josh Simmons, we do not need another OL coming off a major injury.
Other guys I wouldn't take at 13:
Any DT not named Graham- there's too many DTs to be had later, pass rushers, run stuffers, combo DTs, love this class
Any WRs in this class, too many questions, a rare draft with no Nabers, no Chases no Waddles either, imo
Tyler Booker- great player but doesn't fit the ZBS, don't love the recent track with first round Bama OL like Evan Neal and Alex Leatherwood, I think Booker is better but I think there's more athleticism and versatility in every other first round OL, even Zabel.
I think Jihad Campbell's torn labrum would make him a big gamble that early.
Jaxson Dart- somebody in our range, or before, is going to take the leap. Hope it ain't us. I was thinking about whether or not taking him would give McLovin and Grier more time, I don't think so.
