I totally understand. I would never sacrifice a win for a higher pick.
My point is that if Ferrotte looks only slightly better early in camp you can't name him the starter.
Feeley is going to be learning a new system, its gonna take him time, he's gonna need game expeiriance.
I'm not saying throw Feeley in to sabotage the success of the team, but to give him a chance to learn on the job.
AJ has a higher cieling at this point in his career, Ferrotte is not the long term solution, you have 1 or two years to "rebuild" as they say. Why not let AJ get a trial by fire rather than go the safe route?
