Frerotte play by play

I think Feeley will do better next game, I think Ferotte played prettygood though, Feeley ok. I never said or thought Frerotte played great or Feeley played bad. If you are like this with Frerotte's performance, I can't imagine how you were when Fiedler was playing the past couple years, he thrwe a ton of sloppy bad passes that some how got to the receivers and made really awful throw, Fiedler made me quite nervous at times, but seeing how picky you are with players you must've have been hyperventillating when you watched him play.

LOL - Good observation. I hated Fiedler. Still do

Well...heres my two cents..

Both Qb's had moments when they looked really good...and both QB's could have made better decisions at times. In my mind..AJ threw the better ball...and Frerrotte looked a little more comfortable in the pocket. Now that being said....Im an AJ supporter so I still think he is our better choice...WHY??? you might all ask...

Heres the short and sweet of it. If we can all agree that the Super Bowl is not in the cards for us this year...and since QB is such an important decision...or could be based on next years draft...than why wouldnt you start Feeley to see how he plays over the course of the year.

Frerotte knows this system...yet really honestly even you Guskateers can admit he hasnt really outplayed Feeley. Or if you think that..you cant back it up with any real data. Feeley is neck and neck..while learning a new offense. Whats that tell you? Frerotte will never be our answer at QB. You cant fairly say that about Feeley. You cant. He looked good enough yeasterday that you have to reserve judgment based solely on football..not your preferrence.

I think both qbs have the ability to succeed, Frerotte with Linehan's system which he knows, and seems to play to his strengths, and Feeley who has the potential to be a pretty good qb, if he can improve on the mental part of being a qb, becuase he definilty has the ability as far as physical part. I wish the best for both qbs, and hope both play well, so that the starterm who ever that may be, gives us the best chance to win.

After watching and rewatching the game I will say again that all the QBs had their moments. Noone pulled away. If at the end of preseason they are even I would go with Feeley. If one is clearly better than go with that QB

I'm glad we are seeing both qbs doing fairly well, Feeley was ok and Frerotte did good. Becuase last year, or the year before that, Fiedler or Feeley or Griese the year before couldn't move the ball during the preseason games, and they didn't do much. I like how both guys did. So hopefully it will be a preseason where both qbs play well, unlike the past, so that whoever ends up winning the job, will truly give Miami a good chance to win games for the team, whereas in the past it was more like eeny meeny miney moe, well that was Wanny's sophisticated way of picking the starter  , after mediocre or sloppy performances by the qbs in the past preseasons, not really doing much to getting the starting job, I like how things overall are looking for the qbs though. The pass protection as mediocre it looked definitly looked better than it did last year, Feeley and Frerotte would've have been sacked on every play or would've had a guy in their face every down even without the blitz, the o-line will get better down the road with the preseaso games and camp, vernon carey didn't do too bad, The run blocking has to definitly improve, hopefully Houck will get that going in practice.

Well said. Thats what amazed after last night's game. I came away impressed by all of our QBs play. Thought Boston and Diamond and Gilmore had some nice moments. Chambers caught a deep ball. The fact that he caught it didnt excite me rather the fact that it was a deep heave in his direction. The only negative that really bothered me and still concerns me was the secondary but other than that I was expecting everybody on this site to be positive. Then I started reading how Feeley sucked. That was why I posted the Frerotte write up. Although I took a critical look at his game, in the end i was happy with his game overall. The critical look was merely to clamp down on the Frerotte elevation to Godhood. Bottom line our QB situation will be acceptable at worst and might actually be good down the road. For the first game I came away impressed after the last couple of seasons

i am a Feeley hugger, i am a Feeley apologist and i gotta say after watching the QB's after Feeley operate in the pocket 1 thing is clear-
Feeley has the pocket presence of Waldo in a Where's Waldo book........

I have to give you props.Only eeley hugger to say the truth about his pocket presence.

WOW glad I read this thread......First of all I don't like any of our QBs not one of them but I have watched the tape a few times and I would say that Feeley won hands down last night I think Frerotte played ok but Feeley was the better QB I think Dan Marino at 43 and one arm tied would be better then both our QBs

I am on the 'play the best damn QB' club. Whoever that it is.

Pretty much everyone I had a bone to pick with is gone: Feilder, Wantardo, and who ever the **** was our old OLine coach. So I am happy this year. I haven't found anyone to hate yet :)

I just think its funny that 2 Feeley huggers had to post play by plays for both QBs, as to give their opinion on why they think AJ is great credibility

Show me a post in which I claim Feeley is "great". Show me in my play by play where I state something that is not true or something that reflects bias or lack of objectivity.

My god man, either you are the world's fastest typer or you have alot of spare time on your hands!
We dont need a play by play because we watched the game!

All our quarterbacks played well in my opinion but I did like the extra zip on Gus's throws.
