Evidently, the group wants more clarity on what the responsibilities and power will be for this post. I am with them that more clarity is needed on what the heck the organization and its vision looks like.

That's just stupid..

Not very smart of them.

I think it is embarrassing. Where else does this happen?

This is precisely the type of thing that probably circulates as an internal memo.
"i.e. lets get clarification"
Now Mando(surprise surprise) gives it a voice.
It is as if Goodell turned around and told people to stay away from Miami.

Once again this a propaganda move designed to exert pressure on the way Miami does business. It is really quite infuriating if you ask me.

This is good news in my opinion. It forces Ross and the team to come clean about what they're looking for and what is being offered.

Total Control or a Puppet?

It wasn't an internal memo. The Fritz-Pollard Alliance called the NFL and the Dolphins and still came away confused. This is highly embarrassing.

I agree Hayden there is a ton of ambiguity with the "position" with Aponte around, however i presume that in the meetings it is made clear with the candidates what his role would be and what her role and philbin's role would be, and its up to the candidate whether they want the gig or not....

the fact that the media and the public has a perception on what the roles COULD be is what is troubling everyone. i don't listen to Salguaro when it comes to what his "sources" say, because i fully believe he knows just as much as we do when it comes to the definition of roles of the candidate in the front office

Hell,if a puppett or puppett master will get us to the Super Bowl..Hire Jeff Dunham.

Good. We're going to know soon enough whether or not this is going to be a trainwreck.

That clarity is gained during the interviews. Depending on the candidate, i imagine Ross is willing to negotiate how much responsibilities they have. For example, i suspect he would give Tom Gamble, his first choice, far more authority then he would necessarily give, say, Ray Farmer.

I have no doubt most of this confusion and apprehension is caused by Ireland's vindictive and petty leaks to Armando. This will blow over and, as the interviews are conducted, i suspect peoples hesitation will evaporate. Meanwhile, i seriously doubt another owner will give Ireland a chance. His lack of foresight is absolutely hilarious...and totally keeping in character.
