Why not try Shelley Smith at RG in for Dallas Thomas?

Dallas Thomas is not good.

I SO wish they would have let Shelley go up against McCoy. That would have been funny. Shelley makes Thomas look like a superstar in pass blocking.

They aren't going to cut Thomas. They may give Shelley Smith a shot. Thomas was fine last game. A starter doesn't get cut over 1 preseason game against a top DT in the NFL.

Thomas was a starter? When? In preseason? He has done nothing. If a vet can be signed Thomas is not safe. I just do not see an upside with him.

He is the starter right now. He did enough in camp to convince the coaches to start him. Im just saying one bad game isn't going to send someone from a starting position on the depth chart to the streets.
