Garrard-Gordon trade *SPECULATION*

Well living by Jax I have been to the Jags Training Camp. I went Sat morning, and Sunday Night. Garrard is not having that good of a camp. I don't think he could come in here and start over A.J or Gus. I will also be attending the scrimmage on Friday Night and the Mock game on Sat. morning. I can't attend my fins so I attend the Jags.

You guys do realize that Garrard is a career backup, and that Jacksonville didn't think enough of him to have him start, but drafted Leftwich instead. I'll pass on this team's backup, we already have enough of those. Maybe if it was a guy like Patrick Ramsey (I know the skins have portis) who is a backup by default, then we should go after him.

The only reason why it's brought up is because the Jags need a RB and we need a QB. I doubt that we want to give up Gordon now and i doubt that the Jags want to give up Garrard. Just this offseason the Jags was asking for a 1st round pick for him. So i doubt that Gordon will be the only guy that they want.
all i said was he didnt make this trade up its been floating around

If the deal goes down and we get Garrard, who thinks he can come in and start over A.J. and Gus?

He's outplayed Leftwich when he's had the opportunity. However, the Jags have too much invested in Leftwich.
I would love to see that trade.

Intresting.

This would be an excellent trade.I hope it happens.David garrard did well when he had to start some games last year.I really hope it happens:D

Yeah I agree But I do have doubts about trading for a back up, It would be cool though.

I don't think so jlfin. If they offered Leftwich or Garrard, your choice, for Gordon, who would you pick?? Exactly....

are you wearing protection? do you have on your "lumium"skull cap to prevent brainwashing? if you don't you are in grave danger my friend.

Scott Mitchell did really well when Marino was out.
Gus did well for the Vikes
Feeley did well for the Eagles

Just because a player does OK for a few games as a backup doesnt mean he's capable of performing at a starting level consistantly.

yea seriously unless your name is Tom Brady

Actually, this makes a hell of alot of sense.

I've heard rumors of Miami trying to trade Gordon several times this offseason, and I've also heard Jacksonville was interested. This is the first I've heard of what, exactly, the Dolphins would be getting in exchange.

It makes sense from all standpoints. The Jaguars pretty desperately need a runningback with Fred Taylor hurting, and Lamar Gordon has a similiar style and wouldnt be terribly expensive for the Jaguars. Garrard is only under contract for this upcoming season, so they might as well try to move them as they have a QB in the future in Leftwich.

Makes sense for the Dolphins, too. They have a glut of runningbacks, and a need at quarterback. Garrard fits in the same kind of mold that both Linehan and Saban have used in the past, respectively(Culpepper and Davey).

Where did you hear the Garrard part, or is that just speculation?

I think he is better then every qb on our team. And probaly one of the best non starting qbs in the league.

Oh ok there is no way. I have been a Dolphin fan for 23 years. I have been a fan through thick and thin. We haven't won a Superbowl in my time and no matter the record I am still a dolfan. With that said the jags are my second favorite team. I like them except when playing the Fins. I FIns will always be my FAVORITE team.

I think that this trade wouldn't hurt us at all. Gerrard could probably come here and start but I think It would take some time. The only reason I don't see this happening is we already have a veteran QB in Gus Frerotte who knows the system.
