Actually, this makes a hell of alot of sense.
I've heard rumors of Miami trying to trade Gordon several times this offseason, and I've also heard Jacksonville was interested. This is the first I've heard of what, exactly, the Dolphins would be getting in exchange.
It makes sense from all standpoints. The Jaguars pretty desperately need a runningback with Fred Taylor hurting, and Lamar Gordon has a similiar style and wouldnt be terribly expensive for the Jaguars. Garrard is only under contract for this upcoming season, so they might as well try to move them as they have a QB in the future in Leftwich.
Makes sense for the Dolphins, too. They have a glut of runningbacks, and a need at quarterback. Garrard fits in the same kind of mold that both Linehan and Saban have used in the past, respectively(Culpepper and Davey).
Where did you hear the Garrard part, or is that just speculation?
