Saw this, thought I'd share; hadn't heard this. But man, that's weird.

I'm not a Gase fan, but I didn't see much in the way of verified sources, in the article.

I also don't see the point, or relevance. In other words, what does it matter?

Well now it makes sense. I kept wondering why we didn't see more of Wilson in the early part of the season when he was making big play after big play in limited action.

Smart man.Wilson is mediocre at best. Not worth the money
Did you even read the article? It said Gase didn't want Wilson so he made them sign Amendola then wanted to trade Wilson and was told no. Wilson led the league in YAC before his injury. So would you have preferred no Wilson and just Amendola? Amendola sucked last year. Wilson showed promise before he went down.

This was originally penned by Manish Mehta (Jets beat writer) who loves Gase after they win and loathes him when they lose. He wears his fandom on his sleeve and it obstructs his ability to report neutrally. For what its worth.

It says he demanded Wilson be traded but essentially settled and forced (?) the signing of Amendola. This is just another case of Gase not recognizing talent. I had a feeling from the very beginning that he could not identify talent. It started with him talking Tannehill when he was first hired and how he was surprised at some of the throws he could and so on, almost as if he never watched him before or didn't care to watch any film. It was really apparent when he mismanaged Cameron Wakes playing time and really had no pulse on whether Wake could still play even though at that point 3 years ago Wake was still a high level pass rusher. Its unreal. Gase is so unfit to be a head coach.

That hip injury really hurt wilson. He is not same player any more
