Get ready for the JON GRUDEN rumors!

This is probably the worst 5 game stretch in the history of the franchise. And that includes the 1-15 season.
 
Being a coach in the NFL is drastically more involved than being a broadcaster. I've seen nothing from Gruden to suggest that he wants to give up an extremely cushy TV job to give his life away for the same amount of money.

But realistically, we'd make the playoffs next year with Gruden, then go 4-12 because he would alienate his starting QB and key veterans on his team.

Re-treads usually suck, but honestly, I wouldn't even mind Gruden. At least he is entertaining, and perhaps, PERHAPS, he could salvage Tannehill.

I'll take Gruden any day. I'd love it, don't care what anyone says.

In the last 2 years, what has Philbin done to defend keeping him? We're not just bad, we're mediocre. We're heading to another 7-9 record. This team has no direction. That is worse than going 1-15 because you can at least start fresh. We're stuck in the mud.

noone is salivating. But he did do something even Dungy couldn't do... he won with Dungy's players.

In any case, he would be an improvement, at least bring some buzz to the team. We have gone the no-name assistant route ever since Saban, and it hasn't worked worth a lick. Time for something new. I'm not a huge fan of retreads either, but I'm just sick of the constant mediocrity. Time to roll the dice on a former SB winner and see if it pans out.

That being said, I wouldn't want him to GM. We need a real GM to bring in talent.
 
and what team did he beat in the super bowl? Also, try rebuilding an old team when you are missing 2 first round picks, and 2 second round picks in the following 3 years of drafts.

That 1-15 Dolphins team was in almost every game that year, and played hard. This team just lost 3 games in a row where they had the upper hand (especially against NE) or a win right in their grasp, only to self-destruct. How can you have Brady and the Pats on the ropes headed for a TKO, and then just fall apart on offense and defense and let them score 24 unanswered points? What is happening this year is IMO much worse than the 1-15 season.
